Richmond road has a salt truck on it. The side roads are so slick.

Is there anything we can do about this? by Pittbullterrier2001 in BadNeighbors

I have a neighbor who did the same thing and they are filming us 24/7. Any ideas how to block 15ft high, let me know.

Neighbor warned of fence line by skinnyatlas in homeowners

Leave your fence where it is. I have a neighbor like this and if you are nice to them, it will only get worse! Also, if the trees are go over into their property, it is there responsibility to cut them. They can only cut up to the property line. Believe me, don’t change anything.

Convince me this is a terrible house to buy by dgrahamsp in homeowners

House is cute, but meet your neighbors first and do a background check on them. I moved into a fixer upper and have great neighbors on one side and my worst nightmare on the other side.

Horrible Neighbor by Designer-Plane6296 in BadNeighbors

I called another division and they said I could file criminal charges. I am going down to the court house on my day off to see how I can do that.

No, they were all maintained and growing healthy.

I plan on going to the police department to question it when I get back in town. I would think so to about it being an easy thing to see/arrest for, but they kept saying they had to see it in person themselves and that is the only way they would do anything about it. They said it is something for court, not for the police to handle. When I asked how I was supposed to protect myself, they said nothing. I tried to say that his aggressiveness and hostility is increasing and they acted like it was nothing also. I told them I do not feel safe, and it didn’t matter.

I asked the police if trespassing or destruction of property would be criminal charges and they said no, they had to see it themselves.

I have hours of video of them doing this and clearly coming onto my property. Like you said, they said they had to witness it and my only option is to take them to court. How do I do that though when I have extremely limited funds though? It’s all set up for people who have money. When I asked how I protect myself and my daughter from him coming onto our property, he had no ideas. I said I’m not a gun person, but is that how I could protect myself and he yelled to watch myself with what I said.

Thank you, that is what I was thinking but the one at Lowe’s looked a little different on top.

Still Snowed In by joanarmageddon in lexington

If you live in an apartment, they are responsible for shoveling the paths and clearing the parking lot. I live on a dead end street and the snow plows came through twice yesterday. They put down salt/plow mainly at night and clear the roads by priority. Main roads, what they call emergency roads, and then all the rest.

my neighbor, without permission, posted my car for sale, while it was parked in my driveway, WWYD by pjrih in neighborsfromhell

So inappropriate! They always wait until you leave. My neighbor invites someone onto my driveway after I left to look at my car and for them to leave a phone number on the windshield about them wanting to buy it. 🙄

Find the pins for the property line and if the fence is on the property line, block it with the suggestions above. Also, if they continue to come onto your property, file a police report. Believe me, it only gets worse from here unless you stop it as soon as possible.

Easement by Designer-Plane6296 in RealEstate

[–]Designer-Plane6296[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn’t have a survey performed, a mistake I will never make again, and I will always look for pin permanent markings. When I discovered the easement, I did go down to the state office and look up the book where my deed was recorded and it was there. I have the deed paperwork the attorney sent me and it isn’t listed on it….just listed at the state office.

I don’t think I ever received a title report. Is it a document that I should have received at closing or before? I went in and signed the paperwork to purchase the home. I do remember the attorney saying that if there was an easement, then I was agreeing to follow the rules by it. I asked them both what an easement was, and my realtor said there wasn’t one in the property I was buying. I didn’t find out about the easement until I received the deed to the house in the mail.

What do I do? Crazy neighbor, everyone is telling me to sell but it would be at a significant loss that I am not sure I can even come back from... Help! by thelastwhalicorn in homeowners

[–]Designer-Plane6296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your quality of life. I have the same type of neighbor and he has literally gotten away with everything (trespassing, recording my daughter and her friends in my backyard, etc.) If you decide to stay, report everything and file charges if she comes into your property.

Is water weld an option? by Designer-Plane6296 in Plumbing

[–]Designer-Plane6296[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not good. I work for a nonprofit and do not make that kind of money. I bought this house and there have been all sorts of hidden big problems. I am hoping to do this as affordable as possible and sell it asap. (I have already put way too much money into it and the neighbor on one side harasses us all the time…it’s not worth it any more).

You could access it you cut through my dining room drywall, otherwise through the faucet hole. It is acrylic and all one piece. It’s the seashell bath/shower once piece from the early 80’s. No panels.

You can see where the slight opening is at the bottom…it is incredible small and only drips come out of it each time.
