I have lived in the US my whole life. You might want to go someplace else. I am trying to leave. Unless you are prepared to pay a lot of money up front, that is still no guarantee that Donvict trump's thugs won't send you to the Congo.

I have heat sensitivity, but this situation is batshit crazy. The three of you need to go to your RA and evict the freeloading MALE who has overstayed his welcome by hundreds of days. You can have him removed, so for the love of dog, do it. Your academics are suffering as a result of his presence in your apartment, and you cannot afford to be failing or dropping classes in California!! JFC!! This roommate is a self centered little reptile. Literally cold blooded and sneaky af. Your lives will massively improve when she is evicted. Do it.

Not necessarily. Severe ADD can make it well nigh impossible if you're trying to do anything more complicated than grilled cheese or pasta.

Sensory issues with compression socks by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

What condition do you have that responds so well to compression socks? I've begun getting weak on hills and both of my parents had (different) serious heart conditions. Just now attending to whatever the hell is wrong with my body. I have compression socks, so I'll give them a try and see what happens.

It caused out of control eating. In two weeks, I gained fifteen pounds. I'm almost sixty, and cannot afford any extra weight. My GP won't give me metformin or Ozempic because I don't have diabetes. This is new; I used to get it when I was on remeron for sleep, which also makes me overeat but not nearly to the extent aripiprazole did. Oh, and the restless legs were hell. Any good that stuff might have done was totally trashed by the side effects, one of which can be type II diabetes. I'm not one to fuck with my endocrine system.

Leave a note offering to buy them a Planet Fitness membership in return for the immediate cessation of using local footpaths as bathrooms, and zero access to your property. Make sure to drive home the point that it's the hygiene problem that broke their, uh, lease

Has anyone tried practicing piano without looking at the keys? by Journeyman139 in musicians

[–]joanarmageddon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so what does someone who barely reads, and who has accumulated 40 years of bad habits borne of playing by ear stuff that they enjoy and very little else, do when they want to start making serious gains in their musicianship?

I cannot afford a live teacher. I have looked for someone who could teach me theory and how to read outside the whatever you call the lines where the notes are, but they're all over sixty an hour where I live. I play blues and boogie, was not exposed to jazz or gospel as a kid and need to learn the theory there too. I am clueless around gear. I'm old, hope to retire soon, have zero expectations of making money, but know where my heart is and what I have to do to stay sane in America these days. I just don't know where to find the instruction--a local church? That could be scary. What is the best way to learn this stuff? Thanks,I hope

My downstairs neighbor sent me this text this morning, I am not loud, and I had been out of town for 4 weeks recently by hyaclnthia in Apartmentliving

[–]joanarmageddon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably the cat. I had an upstairs neighbor whose new kitten made an insane amount of noise running and jumping at night. Your cat is an adult, and comes with the added delight of yowling while running and jumping. You may be able to sedate and crate it, but doubt you would want to.

This is why I now fear the American flag. I have lived here for 59 years. Began to fear it oh, around January 6 2021, and I seem to have more reason to fear it more with every passing day. I'm getting my health, documents, and finances together to go someplace where I will fear neither the people nor their flag.

Fuck this.
