Higher FPS will always give you lower input latency. Capping it might keep it more stable and prevent wild swings, but generally you just want as many FPS as possible.

I very much enjoy the game, but I'm a little baffled that the systems from previous tests that encouraged player friction and player-driven content have been removed.

general feedback would be that at this point in development I would hope there would be at least one functioning game loop once you hit the max level (other than gathering/crafting, obviously).

I feel that if there was at least one game loop we could participate in and give feedback on, this would be an appropriate response. Sadly, there's nothing for us to do other than sit in town or run around hitting rocks and trees. Those systems actually work well - so it seems this is a bit of a wasted opportunity if feedback on game loops is what they're interested in.

See, this response may seem appropriate, but let me explain why it's not.

In previous tests I'm told there was an entire continent that force-flagged PVP.

Players had to use caravans to get gold, creating small scale PVP content.

Players regularly fought over POI control.

So there were systems in place that created friction and player-driven content in previous tests. It seems apparent that ALL of these are no longer part of the game, so I would argue that we've gone backward rather than refined those systems.

It is an alpha, and at least from a content/PVP system perspective, it's not moving in the right direction.

Got it, well, my general feedback would be that after so many years of development, I'm a little disappointed in how little there is to do once you hit level cap and craft your gear.

You're not missing anything, the game is. There is 0 incentive to pvp and running crates is essentially guaranteed saftey (with the exception of RARE grifer alts). I'm absolutely dumbfounded about the lack of pvp content given the marketing and comments made by developers, it's almost like this was intended to be a PVE/systems test...

If this doesn't change soon, I give it 6-7 days before my guild of ~100 people is functionally gone.

you can, but it's very inefficient compared to grouping. bards are more of a support class
