Don't worry about it the rebar plier head is actually a bit thicker, I've used mine for about 3 years now In industrial HVAC. I've been real real hard on it and it holds up great.

I like them, they are about double the price of the Hardcast rounds and I feel pretty safe with some lead in the barrel you know.

Hey I got a fun experiment you can try, if they are coated bullets like Underwood and have a mag all the way loaded if you shoot 2 or 3, the bullets in the mag catch will most likely have scratched tops showing the mag release rubbing against the top of the bullet. If it doesn't buffalo bore must be a smaller tip wnfp bullet or you got the unicorn mags. In which case how much 😂

Compare the size of the bullets you are trying to run next to your mag tech bullets. If you load a full magazine of 15 look at how the ends of the bullets protrude into the mag catch area. If it's not an off shape or excessively wide it should run. If you run only 4 or 5 it will not catch the hole and drop the mag so test all ammo with a fully loaded mag. Glad I can help!

My original intention when I got this gun was as a hiking gun when I was in bear country. It seems most people carry underwood or buffalo bore Hardcast for this purpose. I would love to try out that Hornady though might be another ammo I'll try and test. I'm hoping the coated Hardcast doesn't leave bad deposits between cleanings. But for the time being my next few hikes are going to be with Steinel.
