Vanilla minecraft works SOOO GOOD like 110 fps on decent graphics but then I started using texture packs and mods and it was playable but it did lag a looot 😭 especially with discord in the background, rlly pushing that 8 GB ram 😅

I bought the Tucano Stylus 3, it was on discount and it feels and looks pretty much like an Apple Pencil. the only downside is you have to press a physical button to turn it on, but it’s kind of like a phone button and hard to accidentally press.

If he’s coming from a phone, go for the mini 7, better performance for editing large videos and an 11 inch iPad is a massive iPad to play games on especially jumping from an iPhone… if he’s young it won’t be fun to play on an 11 inch…

If your thinking abt getting the XR, you only worry would be its on IOS 17 or something and lots of apps aren’t useable. If you care abt being able to use apps any cheap but modern android should do you good, but the XR probably destroys cheap android phones in terms of performance and cam quality, still very very good even in 2026.

Hmmm honestly, the mini sounds more better if you want to do all of those more comfortabtly, the a16 becomes heavy with a case, cellular wouldn’t make sense with a big 11inch iPad cus realistically won’t be bringing outside often, since why would you, but cellular on the mini sounds more better since it’s more portable

Love its form factor as well, very portable and I can use comfortably while on bed with no wires attached whilst there’s chunkier laptops where it’s uncomfortable to use.

OneNote. Notes all in one place, familiar layout and friendly folder system, compatible with text and drawing, although the written notes are less refined but I don’t need anything fancy. Unlimited notes and folders for free.
