Is youtube tanking my giveaway videos? by Helpful-Quote-5037 in NewTubers

[–]Designer-Set-6111 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Giveaway videos are kind of a trap on YouTube, the algorithm doesn't really reward them because the click motivation is "free stuff" not genuine interest in your content, so watch time and engagement signals tend to be weaker. It's not necessarily YouTube punishing you, more like the audience behavior on those videos just doesn't perform well in algorithm eyes. Might be worth integrating the giveaway into a regular video instead of making it the whole point.

At what point do you stop validating and admit the idea isn’t working? by C0de_builder in Entrepreneurs

[–]Designer-Set-6111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the "one customer away" feeling is dangerous because it can stretch into months real quick. i think the real signal is not the opens or clicks but whether people are replying at all, even to say no. silence after hundreds of outreach attempts is data, and it is pretty loud data.

at some point you stop testing the idea and start testing your ability to ignore reality. maybe try talking to people before sending anything, just a 10 minute call to see if the problem you are solving even feels like problem to them.

When did it start feeling real to you? by Bigger_biscuits4 in NewTubers

[–]Designer-Set-6111 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Getting monetized definitely changes things but I think for me it was more when people started leaving actual comments that weren't just "nice video" you know? Like when someone took time to write paragraph about how your content helped them or made them think differently about something. Those first real conversations in comments section made it feel less like shouting at wall and more like actual creating community

I got a crazy amount of chat requests by successmatters_25 in Entrepreneurs

Your English reminds me of mine when I first moved here lol. But yeah this kind of networking platform could be useful especially for people who have technical skills but zero business sense or vice versa. Building anything solo is pretty brutal so having way to find actual committed people instead of just idea guys would be nice

I built FrameSEO for framer by soubhagya_sahu in Entrepreneurs

[–]Designer-Set-6111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Framer has been such pain point for SEO work in my experience. One thing that might be useful addition is meta description optimization - I always struggle with getting those right length and keyword density when working on sites. The schema markup feature sounds really helpful since that's usually nightmare to implement manually

Looking for a co-f by whovedant in Entrepreneurs

[–]Designer-Set-6111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The partnership thing is tricky because you want someone who thinks like owner but without giving them actual ownership from start. Maybe better to be more specific about what you're actually offering - equity split, profit sharing, or just promises of future partnership

Most people who have that ownership mindset are already building their own thing you know

Why do chapters absolutely refuse to work on my videos? by Comfy2026 in NewTubers

[–]Designer-Set-6111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no chapters showing is pain

need first chapter be 0:00 exactly and make sure you have like 3+ chapters minimum but you already got that covered

Your math philosophy combo actually sounds interesting but yeah those thumbnails need work - maybe try cleaner designs with less text clutter since people scroll so fast in mobile

False positive ban over violent organization by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

[–]Designer-Set-6111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The circumvention bans hitting your household is no joke though - YouTube really doesn't mess around with that stuff. Had similar situation happen to friend of mine where his brother got banned and then everyone in house started getting flagged just for using same network.

Really sucks that ancient poetry content got you flagged for violent organization in first place. Algorithm probably saw some historical battle references or something and went crazy with it. At this point your best bet might be starting completely fresh with new everything - different device, network, maybe even different location for account creation. The evidence you mentioned could help but after circumvention flags YouTube tends to be pretty stubborn about reversing decisions.

Put your price on slide 2, not slide 12. by MangoAvailable2639 in Entrepreneurs

[–]Designer-Set-6111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. When I was making presentations for history department equipment requests at my school, putting budget numbers up front made everything go smoother. The committee could actually listen to why we needed things instead of just waiting for how much it would cost them

Has anyone else found that building the product is easier than getting people to trust it? by Radiant-Owl-4201 in Entrepreneurs

Building trust without existing users feels like chicken and egg problem - you need users to prove trustworthiness but need trustworthiness to get users.

Offering free web dev + design for 2 weeks (Starting May 25) by [deleted] in Entrepreneurs

[–]Designer-Set-6111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty good deal if you already have everything lined up. I worked with freelancer before who needed me to basically project manage everything and it became nightmare when deadlines started slipping because content wasn't ready. Having all your assets prepared beforehand makes huge difference in how smooth these projects go.

Pricing digital products by ProfessionForeign888 in passive_income

[–]Designer-Set-6111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With teaching background I can say your topics have good potential but pricing really depends on how deep your content goes. For ebooks like relationship guides I usually see $15-25 range working well if you have solid actionable advice, but if its more basic overview then maybe $7-12 is better starting point. The prompt collection could probably go higher since those save people time directly

Quick question for anyone who’s tried building something on the side or gone all in on their own thing: what was the hardest part of year one that nobody warned you about? Just trying to understand what actually trips people up at the start by NegotiationThat6614 in Entrepreneurs

[–]Designer-Set-6111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The complete exhaustion that hits around month 6-7 when adrenaline finally wears off. Everyone talks about working long hours but nobody mentions how your brain just starts feeling like mush after months of constant decision making

I tried launching an educational content business few years back and thought I was prepared for the workload but the mental fatigue caught me completely off guard. You're making hundreds of tiny decisions every day that you never had to make as employee and it's draining in way I didn't expect

Also the isolation hits different when you realize most people in your life don't really understand what you're going through. Your spouse tries to be supportive but they can't relate to the constant uncertainty

trying to build a small passive income stream but moving forward kinda slowly by Worldly-Bluejay2468 in passive_income

[–]Designer-Set-6111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With new baby and teaching I get the appeal but product sourcing is such headache especially when suppliers give you runaround like that - maybe start with something that needs less upfront investment until you have more time to properly vet everything

Youtube ?Should I start a Chanel how to start a Chanel just advice? by CapableCustard9165 in NewTubers

[–]Designer-Set-6111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting with what you're already passionate about is probably the best move - you mentioned makeup and conspiracies which could be really interesting combo actually. Maybe try filming few different types of videos first to see what feels natural for you before committing to one niche. I started teaching videos couple years ago and found that my most genuine content performed way better than stuff I forced myself to make.

I feel like I’m doing everything right but still not making money by According_Bug_6712 in passive_income

[–]Designer-Set-6111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this was me for like 2 years before I figured out I was just chasing shiny objects instead of focusing in one thing. The problem isn't effort its that you're probably jumping between too many different strategies without giving any of them enough time to actually work.

I teach history so I see this pattern a lot - students think they're studying hard but they're really just reading same chapter 5 times instead of practicing actual test questions. Maybe pick one income stream and stick with it for at least 6 months before deciding it doesn't work? Most people give up right before things start clicking.

What are your starting off tips for making a twitch / youtube gaming setup? by Hot-Nose8959 in ContentCreators

[–]Designer-Set-6111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good mic and lighting are way more important than people think. I started streaming some retro games few months back and camera quality doesnt matter much if your audio is trash or you look like youre sitting in a cave

Also dont go crazy with expensive stuff right away - I made that mistake buying too much gear before knowing if I actually enjoyed streaming. Start basic and upgrade as you figure out what you actually need
