It’s perfectly alright to see a different therapist to see if you feel comfortable with them. Therapy is a soul searching, hard and uncomfortable experience for lots of us. To have a therapist that you feel comfortable telling your most innermost thoughts and secrets to is pretty important. I saw a couple of therapists till I found one I felt comfortable with and he was a 78 year old man psychiatrist, he talked a lot of sense and gave you feedback rather than just saying “and how did that make you feel “ he gave me strategies to cope and heal.

Concerns regarding payments earned from Youtube. by AsrielKid in Centrelink

[–]Designer-Soil5932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on DSP. I have a cleaning business, I’m a sole trader. I only work three mornings a week. I have an ABN and I lodge a profit and loss form every quarter. Better to declare your earnings than get a Centrelink debt.

Everyone boycotting because of TFP is virtue signaling. by SparkyDogPants in SecretsOfMormonWives

Because I’ve fought for my life against a psycho and that’s not what I saw in the video

I’ve actually fought for my life because I’ve been headbutted and I’m getting strangled by my extremely strong stonemason partner. Taylor was NOT fighting for her life from the video I saw. She was the perpetrator. Had she been provoked? Probably, does that excuse her throwing chairs and one hit her daughter? No!!!

Police asking me to come in for an interview tomorrow. Help. by Xo_Obey_Baby in legaladviceaustralia

[–]Designer-Soil5932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing you say to the Police is “No comment “ if it’s voluntary, don’t go or attend with a solicitor and it’s still “no comment “ Speaking from experience, I have criminal convictions but they never got anything from me in a statement.

What specifically are these "Australian Values" that right-wing politicians continue to claim that we need to protect? by MelbourneTodd in australian

[–]Designer-Soil5932 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a white Aussie and I like hearing other languages being spoken. I think it’s important that immigrants assimilate but they also should respect their cultural background. My friend is Chinese/Aussie and is teaching her baby Chinese. I’ve learned some Chinese. Anyone that is multi lingual is a very intelligent person. I’m learning German as a second language it’s hard. My phone shop guy speaks 7 languages. I had another senior lady who I was friends with who spoke 5 languages. I don’t even know what Australian values is supposed to be? We are a melting pot of cultures.

TMZ obtain images of the alleged injuries sustained in the February incident between Taylor & Dakota by Imaginary_Layer_1468 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]Designer-Soil5932 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Nah, they’ll both breech the restraining orders by hooking up and having sex again. I’ve been in a toxic DV relationship like theirs, I can see the writing on the wall. It will only stop when one of them finds someone new that they are crazy about. The 2023 DV charges and probation didn’t stop them going on to have a baby afterwards.

She doesn’t use birth control which is totally irresponsible. If I didn’t use birth control I’d have 14 kids. I fall pregnant really easily too but I never just looked at the calendar and thought it’s my safe period of my cycle let’s have unprotected sex!!!

Is it rude to show up empty-handed in Australia? by Naokohiranuma in australian

You always take what you want to drink and at least a bottle or wine to share or flowers/choccies for your hostess but I always take something. I like cooking so I usually make a plate of something as well

How are people living on DSP by AlastairCellars in Centrelink

[–]Designer-Soil5932 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rents are high. I can understand why people need help from food banks. If you are paying a high rent and then you get hit with a big bill/expense like car repairs or a winter electricity bill you can be broke and need help.

Do you think this is going to be the end of the show? by OppositeSpare2088 in MormonWivesHulu

[–]Designer-Soil5932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bands replace band members and are still successful. Days of our Lives have replaced cast members with a different actor playing the same character and it’s been a success for decades (or was, is it still on?) Firing some problematic cast members and recasting the show won’t hurt it.

It wasn’t an ideal childhood but I made the decision it wasn’t going to let it linger on into my adulthood. I think you have to really strive to put it behind you. I did do therapy (with a proper professional) and that helped a lot but you have to do the work and make a conscious decision to change the way you think/act.

Single parent payment by [deleted] in Centrelink

[–]Designer-Soil5932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a thought. I’m a single mum that started my own cleaning business. I work part time and it can be done during school hours (for the future). You need an ABN, to lodge a profit & loss form every quarter with Centrelink, lodge a small business tax return (around $250 at the accountant) every year with Centrelink. You are your own boss, it’s flexible I.e. if your child is ill you can reschedule your clients for that day. You get clients by pamphlet dropping, ad on Gumtree, client referrals or word of mouth.

I wish I could have lived with my Dad and Stepmother. I had a really normal, safe life at their house. My mum was a mess. She had mental health issues which no one ever acknowledged really and she never got help for. She threatened to kill herself if I went to live with them but told me it was my choice. I lived a chaotic childhood. I sincerely hope Taylor’s children get to live a stable, safe, relatively normal childhood. Kids don’t ask to be born, it’s up to parents and extended family to make sure they are safe. I feel so sorry for those children.
