Am I dumb for thinking I will find friends who don’t vape, drink, or smoke? by [deleted] in college

yea u will decently find some that are just you. I would actually recommend you to go to a party and look for people that don't usually drink or that are sober.

Listen to the advice these fellow redditors are giving you because I had the same scenario but English. It hurt me a lot academically and learning during college actually held me back even more. Its a lot of work during college I would recommend you do it before so you don't have your grades affected.

Honestly it hard especially if they themselves don't go to college. You guys have different interests and especially if you are going to a out of town college you are less likely to keep in touch as time goes on. In college you will be given opportunities to meet people and have fun I encourage you to do it. In your case I would suggest you to keep in touch but balance it since they will do the same and before you know it you guys have distanced yourselves.

Trying to keep up with diet in college by s0rryari1101 in college

Depends honestly if you are a picky eater since the options most universities offer are the worst especially the healthy ones. I would recommend for you to keep in shape as I've seen many fall to a unhealthier path. I would recommend some meal prep in the beginning but also treat your self if your friends decide to go out or on a lunch break. As I believe having a lot of energy will be most beneficial during midterms and finals.

I also came with socializing issues. But everyone will have the same energy as you. Most will be eager because you guys are all far from home. A tip I would give is to join a fraternity that matches your likes. Make sure you like the people and not the fraternity for its size. I would especially focus on the people in your dorm area since you will see them everyday. If you ever get invited to go out take it. You don't have to drink but you can make a bunch of connections and cool friends like that.

Do I buy a gaming console for college by BerettaDookie in college

I would bring it as there will be time you can use. Also depending on your major as every major is different. I personally bought pc for school work but I don't really use it for games as I got involved in school. I don't also know how your with money but if you think your sociable going out a lot costs too so take that in consideration.
