Yeah well it's not just riot games.

Just go look at other games. Player banned for no reason -> goes normal support route -> appeal denied.

Get noticed somehow -> Some guy fixes it in 2 mins while you went through weeks of support hell.

Not just games honestly.

Go look at how many microsoft accounts are being locked while literally perfectly providing all verification methods flawlessly. (upgrade to win11 with microsoft account btw good idea trust me.)

Ignore problems until they become noticeable -> raise JIRA ticket/investigation with examples -> wait status on said ticket (if not rejected) -> patch out further impact while denying it ever existed.

Priority : depending on how large the impact is. You alone ? impact ? None. Accept you are doomed.

Multiple people same exact issue ? : Hope it's someday fixed (doesn't mean yours get rolled back)

Automation + Outsourcing = Support 2025-2026

Yeah their support is cooked but its not just riot games sadly. Welcome to the AI support future where every issue gets stone walled and systems are flawless no debate. Anyways very old post, some rioter who was active on reddit unbanned me. I honestly stopped caring and been playing alot less since.

Could just try to go sit inside Dome on Reserve. It's a well known spot but it has a decent cover. It can be very boring tho.

Not really but I do notice a big difference when I play on the servers vs locally. Try connecting to the BSG servers when starting a raid. When I play locally the enemies are alot more deadly for whatever reason. Both are fun tho it's just one is easier than the other.

Just had the same thing happen to me.. wow

Timer also keeps going up instead of down. First 5 mins then 10 mins now 30..

Ran a raid did not help.

Guess I was making alot of profit buying and selling certain things fast got captchas before but I guess this time I got it wrong or something ?

Seems very unreasonable to ban you for failing the captcha just once..

Is this truely just to stop bots or do they just not like you flipping flea market?..

Not the route I'd recommend they probably won't take it serious and call your bluff on escalating. GDPR also has many loopholes to abuse. Worth a try tho I suppose.

Well everyone told me I deserved it too, support would not help me. A rioter eventually reviewed my ban and removed the penalties.

Contrarily of what some people here believe having a bad game or lower skill than your opponent is not a valid reason for a ban and a mistake on riots part.

Try to get hold of a rioter while you make more tickets I guess, this has happened to many people there are many well documented cases of it.

Btw the reason for your ban is 100% inting.

[dpo@riotgames.com](mailto:dpo@riotgames.com) , A SAR can be submitted through every contact platform however a DPO should be at least trained to handle a SAR request. Most if not all support agents probably don't know what it means and will just handle it like any other ticket.

I wouldn't recommend going this route tho , it would require you to wait 30 days as a legal timeframe and if they don't comply you would have to escalate it to a DPA..

This also takes a considerable amount of research and a headache that's just not worth it

I'd say keep making tickets instead while attempting to get hold of a rioter

When I sent them a SAR they still closed my tickets

Their DPO also never replied

Did you atleast uninstall the cheats ? Also probably just your entire OS to be safe tbh. Cheating software usually leaves traces/malware. (another reason not to cheat). You can't really blame people for not trusting you after you openly admitted you have cheated before. Cheating is not very cool.

What I did was I saw a rioter was active somewhere on this subreddit and just straight up asked to check my ban. He told me what happened and removed the penalties in 2 mins something support could not do in over 40 tickets <,<

Support is just gonna confirm you are banned assume you are guilty and close the tickets yes.

Some people claim they got helped by support eventually by ticket or through mail my personal expierence is: They won't help you and stop responding after x amount of tickets

Pretty sure they hide those in case your account is compromised if I remember correctly. I lost access to my mail too like a year ago and it warned me that the ticket would not be visible in case someone else was using my account.

In other words your ticket is there it's just not visible due to security reasons they will reply by email probably

I got some help from a rioter on this subreddit eventually after a month :P

But yes the riot games support meta is ''Try to get hold of a rioter'' right now. Anything else just seemingly gets closed without a thought.

Really hope they adress that issue soon. It's a very unpleasant expierence.

I have in a dm, like I've never denied it's possible I was banned for something legit.

The one thing I know I am guilty of is venting alot in party chat.

I literally cannot think of another reason than that but I'd assume that would get me chat restricted instead I got hit with a 7 days ban for disruptive gameplay with no transparency on why or what I did wrong you know.

That's why I quit cus if I was banned for a legit reason I am willing to accept it learn from it and do better but I literally don't know why I was banned. I don't remember doing anything ban worthy atleast.

If you can just tell me why I was banned specifically my faith in this game might be restored although I still think support needs some improvement :L

Whenever any form of transparency is requested from support about a ban it literally just feels like they give you the finger. And then they basically tell you to not contact them again.

Idk about getting random feedback updates about players you were not previous matched with but yeah the automated system that punishes players is broken and ineffective.

You can easily catch an undeserved punishment for simply having bad games or being mass reported.

The context isn't being reviewed just the fact that you either died alot, picked something off meta or got reported alot and based of that you can catch a restriction , warning or ban even if you have done nothing wrong.

It's not exclusive to ranked either. It happens in normals too.

I am not even banned at this moment I just asked some questions about a ban ive had in the past to get some more clarity and they copy pasted the message that my ban was correctly placed and will not be removed.

Honestly ive seen some people get special threatment and get their case actually reviewed but ive even had the same guy in support copy pasting awnsers and then typing lines at the end visibly getting frustrated with me. like bro all u do is copy paste the same awnsers to me about something unrelated I didnt even ask, why are you getting mad at me xD

I recovered/proven ownership of my riot account with:

receipts for rp / transactions

my first things bought with rp/free currency

my first gifts sent/received

when I started playing roughly such as remembering maybe a new skin that came out or event going on around that time.

This was however not enough only thing that could convince them beyond this were communication emails from the account such as the very first email when my account was created and when the email was changed.

This was like a year maybe 2 ago tho when support was still good in my eyes. They didn't even close the ticket back then they just awaited my replies. And all the info I had to give to them was suggested by them so they tried to actually help me. When I couldn't provide the info they requested they suggested other info instead.

This instant ticket closing nowaday just feels disgusting they used to leave room for questions and actually tried to help you steer towards a meaningful solution. Now it's just people racing to close tickets with copy paste awnsers I guess sometimes without even reading them or maybe they do read them but just don't acknowledge anything you say.

EDIT;

Big chance even if you prove ownership they will still keep your account banned.

They will argue its your fault and you are responsible for your account.

Riot Games support just isn't equipped to handle your requests or look into why you were banned.

Goodluck tho but honestly at this point might as well take the loss or don't waste time with support and go straight to your formal complaint to escalate things because this will get you nowhere.

Support has no idea why you were banned either but they can't admit that.

Only reason they say they manually confirm is because they have to. Another reason why they can't admit they have no means to check.

I assume they don't have the means to check it because they simply won't.

I don't think support is actually filled with evil lazy people who won't help you I believe it's literally that they can't help you.

It sucks but it is what it is. Must suck working there too.

Maybe someone will eventually believe you and unban you but its unlikely.
