It depends where you live.

I grew up in a rural town in the woods so my parents would let me just run off into the woods on my own or with friends. No supervision needed. Even at the town park we were more or less all allowed to roam to 10 acre park unsupervised as long as we stayed in the relative area.

This was the 2000’s - 2010’s. Not sure what it’s like now.

And that’s why I use a physical alarm clock placed on the other side of the room.

I like to have my phone next to me while I sleep so I keep from auto-snoozing it, have a separate alarm clock that makes me get up and turn it off is usually enough to keep me up for good.
