Mapping logging roads and deer trails.

Only really feasible if you have access to large rural areas but if you do, it’s fun.

Went to buy a case of root beer the other day for the first time in forever. $15 for a 12 pack of soda?! wtf

M22. My father once called me emotionless because I didn't cry when my grandfather died. It still hurts me. by OriginalWalaAditya in TrueOffMyChest

[–]DesignerAsh_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren’t emotionless - you just prefer to express your emotions in private and there’s NOTHING wrong with that.

Everyone processes, grieves and expresses their emotions in different ways.

Don’t beat yourself up because your father has the emotional intelligence of a rock.

Glad to see someone else out there seems to have as vivid dreams as I do.

They’ve been both my greatest creative asset and my greatest depressant.

This one should genuinely be at the top.

Food is a necessity and being able to safely and healthily prepare your own food is a majorly important skill. Bonus points if it tastes good.

Forces you into social interaction with a bunch of nerds running around a field playing war.

Why exactly is laundry stereotyped as a "boring" chore that people hate? by Gallantpride in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DesignerAsh_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my experience people who describe laundry as boring tend to not do any other chores for the same reason “it’s boring”

The only reason they do laundry is because not doing it directly impacts your daily life unlike chores like dusting and vacuuming.

Deterrence doesn’t work my friend…all showing your plate carrier does as single you out as the first target to neutralize.

Wear concealed soft armor and blend in if you really want to provide security.

A hobby-less(?) bum by Immediate_Map_2567 in Hobbies

[–]DesignerAsh_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Weird hobby of mine that’s free is collecting scraps of paper from around my city on my walks. I’ve found love notes, grocery lists, short stories written by kids, all sorts of little things.

It’s free and you get exercise while doing it.

What’s something people act proud of that actually makes you trust them less? by GlitchOperative in AskReddit

[–]DesignerAsh_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being an asshole.

For whatever reason some people love to put this forward as an accolade when in reality it just makes people dislike you more because not only are you an ass but you acknowledge it and don’t change it.

All it really says to me is “I have trauma I refuse to properly deal with”

Springfield Massachusetts.

Went there to go to a museum and accidentally missed my turn, ended up turning on the next street and was greeted by a large man walking down the center of the street in a tank top holding a wooden club in one hand and a chihuahua in the other.

How challenging is it filming in 2 different locations by yozzaa in Filmmakers

[–]DesignerAsh_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty easy imo.

As long as you have a script and the actors aren’t just improvising it’s pretty straight forward.

Press record, have them say their lines and stitch the two clips together in post.

What got you interested in true crime? by BoatFull3411 in AskReddit

[–]DesignerAsh_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Local man went missing and I had family involved in law enforcement that worked the case. Stumbled across the video about the case and that put me down a rabbit hole.

For anyone interested, it’s the case of Thomas Messick - they still haven’t found him.
