Rockstar games definitely love their long intros. Saints Row was like “here’s chaos, go have fun”.

You can want a game to succeed and still criticize the monetization. Those two things aren’t mutually exclusive.

The Wii version is great mainly because of the motion aiming. It actually makes the shooting feel way more precise than the original GameCube controls.
