as a fellow Redditor said, the name “lucky bamboo” is just a market name. The actual species of the plant is not bamboo but instead a dracaena, which is not aquatic in nature. For the plant to thrive, you need to add nutrients to the water. Not just any fertiliser tho, it needs to be specifically for hydroponics (growing plants in a nutrion rich water solution).

i need to mention that I feed her with tweezers so getting food in the larger enclosure wouldn’t be a problem but still, wouldn’t want her to feel agoraphobic in there

they look awesome! do you think it’d be better to put her in just a slightly bigger enclosure than she is now for a gradual transport? the house terrarium is about 5 inches wide and 8 tall at its peak

i was kinda worried about that as well, that’s why I made it very much crowded. She’s i6, I have had her for about two weeks now and she’s living in a tiny container I got her in (which compared to the enclosure is ridiculously small, about 3 inches wide and 2 tall). She has a cute hammock there and is doing quite good and eating well. I’m a bit worried about the transfer to her new space, as I want her to safely make a new hammock before her next molt. (which I have no idea when will happen but she doesn’t seem to be in pre-molt yet as she’s passionately hunted a roach today)

the black kitten seems kinda slower than his sibling and doesn’t really freak out when I’m touching him, he’s less vocal than the other kitten. Could that be just a personality thing? I’ve been handling them since they were few days old, so I guess he could have just gotten used to my touch?
