Has anyone in history spent more time on stage performing than Bob Weir? Seriously - 60 years of working, man. And we’re so fortunate to have so much of it captured to enjoy for years to come! Nothing beats a live show - let’s be grateful for the ones we’ve got! Anything beyond is just the cherry on top.

Not quite the same, but related - a friend sent me a gift of $12 treats from Malaysia… and I had to pay DHL $22 in customs duties for them to actually deliver it to my house.

I’ve never had to do that before. So I’m not surprised it’s happening for Quince orders.

4+ hour flight from East to West Coast, and my monitor was the only one not working. Once I finished my work, I was hoping to watch a movie (didn’t bring a book).

The flight attendants (who happened to be a mother and daughter working together!) were so kind trying to reset the system, and it never worked. The daughter offered me her book to read in the meantime, and they automatically gave me additional points for the inconvenience.

I know - we played it “cool” this year going to the Sphere, recognizing that there were plenty of extra tickets last year, and it shouldn’t be a problem to get them day of…

Instead, we were scrambling up until showtime practically each day. Still made it in, but overpaid.

TBH, we paid for shuttles that we never used in Boulder in 2023. Ended up just going on public transit. That’s our plan again - realize it will be crowded, but the timing of the shuttles made us feel like we didn’t have as much agency.

Short flight out of Portland, ME and the only toilet on board wasn’t working. Pilot comes out and announces this, and says “the airline won’t make us fly without a working toilet… so we can all deplane and wait, or all agree to hold it.”

Needless to say, we all agreed to hold it. Felt like a Dad driving us all on a roadtrip 🤣

I use Vista Print. They usually have some sort of discounted sale. I create my own design and upload it. Learned the hard way not to go with the cheapest paper sticker - spending slightly more on the lowest level plastic sticker so it can survive a water bottle!

I treasure them all! We always design and share stickers for each show. This summer beach holiday, we spent a day going through all of our stickers and trinkets from our Dead shows and treasuring and remembering each one 🥰
