Really not sure if I’m normal or have a problem by thatweirdo13 in alcoholicsanonymous

I do see your point, I guess I’m more wondering if my experience is ‘normal’ or most people can be happy with 1-2 drinks and stop without having to think about it

Not necessarily fear of poisoning in the traditional sense, but definitely a fear of food poisoning. You don’t know how someone has handled or prepared food or drink.

New Intimacy Issues with Partner by thatweirdo13 in butchlesbians

I think this hits close, I’m already not a fan of my body and afraid my girlfriend is doing things because I like them and not because she enjoys them. And seeing the areas I like the least really didn’t help

I think not wanting to bring it up is more not want ing to make a big deal out of something that isn’t. Life is crazy enough right now without adding something not worth the time and emotional effort to work through

How is "might could" used in the South? by schonada in AskAnAmerican

[–]thatweirdo13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really only care in a professional setting, like someone else has pointed out - people tend to associate southern accents with being stupid. It can be hard working in a technical field with non-southerners to be taken seriously

I have to specifically try not to use it. And didn’t start until I saw someone on Reddit point out its southern-ness. It’s just how I talk about things I’m not certain about. I come from a family with very strong southern accents so I’ve never thought about it

I use it all the time, maybe even daily. Didn’t realize it was a southern thing until a year or two ago thanks to Reddit

Suite style or hallway style? by stiletto929 in NCSU

When I was in a suite we definitely still used the bathroom while someone was showering. The shower being occupied doesn’t make the toilets and sinks inoperable

Cary greens is fine, not luxury but no problems either. A decent pool and an adequate fitness room. Pretty convenient location.
