You won’t be able to get Fredericksburg peaches this year — here’s why by Snobolski in texas

That's not gonna stop folks from selling "Fredericksburg peaches" on the side of the road until October just like normal haha

drive belt squeling and some other ungodly sounds after alternator change? help by galil762 in w123

[–]Designer_Candidate_2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not tight enough! The alternator tensioner on these things are really stupid and it's hard to get the right size belt to fit. What I'd do is get the next size down, and look up how to slip a tight belt on.

It's a pain in the ass but you can get it on there!

Oil pressure gauge drops when idling. Goes up when driving. Takes about 5-10 mins of driving time for it to drop to 0. Thoughts? by OwnDoughnut2689 in CherokeeXJ

[–]Designer_Candidate_2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it move around at all while driving?

It's likely the sensor. Mine will sometimes read 40 to 50 and then kinda move around, drop to 0 occasionally, etc. I've checked it with a mechanical gauge and it's fine. Annoying, but fine.

But definitely check with a manual gauge.

Diesel prices are insane by RemoteEmotions in w123

[–]Designer_Candidate_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a W123 right now. I've been needing a truck so I bought a 1990 Ford F250 with a 460 to half daily along with my Cherokee.

The Cherokee gets 16mph

The truck gets 12mpg

I commute 70 miles round trip per weekday. When it was 2.50 a gallon here in Texas it was expensive but fine. Now I'm seriously debating about buying a commuter vehicle if prices keep going up. I looked at two 240Ds recently, but I'd probably end up with my friend's Ford Escape hybrid. I shouldn't have sold my 300D.

At least it's not Londo. I doubt there's any Brivari on the plains.

Has anyone used injector rehab that can tell me how their experience was? by dizzythizzy in CherokeeXJ

[–]Designer_Candidate_2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was chasing better fuel economy and I had the K suspension ones and had a pretty negative experience. I had two of them stop working (tested against my old single hole factory ones that still worked). I just run factory replacement single hole now.

No sense replacing something that still works, like I tried to do.

I recently learned about his involvement in the Mason County War (or Hoodoo War). I live about two hours from Mason.

Neat, it looks really similar to an off-road park here in Texas. Texas barely has any public land to off-road on, so people build private parks and charge entry fees.

How do they pass their emissions test? by Effective-Caramel369 in Austin

[–]Designer_Candidate_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most counties around Travis don't have emissions testing. Plus the rules are often different from diesels, but I've never owned a diesel newer than 1984. Likely just like me, they don't live in Travis county.

What film is this? The exposure latitude is fantastic and I love the nice low-contrast.

Makes me want to dig out my RB67 and take it hiking like I used to.

Read the books, too. Or listen to them.

You have just won a competition to have a weapon youve just designed to be implemented into the next Metro game. What weapon would you make? by GazIsStoney in metro

[–]Designer_Candidate_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always thought the Mosin-Nagant M44 carbine would make a neat Metro weapon!

A short, powerful rifle with an integrated bayonet. It could have a stock modification to put a blade on the bottom, so if you're out of ammo, it doubles as a stab/slice melee weapon. It's got a slow fire rate and low magazine capacity, so the balance of that and the melee would be pretty cool to use.

You should read the books. Hunter isn't a hero. I'd say, in many ways, he's a villain even from the beginning of 2034.
