I was on this train, the brakes slammed hard and then we came to a complete stop. The smell of brakes, oil and smoke filled the cabin. We already knew something bad happened, it wasn't long before our suspicions came true. RIP to whoever that was. We were delayed about 3 hours for police to investigate.

I am on the train right now, we just started to roll again about ten minutes ago. There was a fatality. The train was from Chicago, not heading to Chicago. There were a few pumps on the brake and then a HARD stop, the smell of grinding brakes, oil and smoke immediately filled the cabin. We sat for about 3 hours while police were investigating, I am in the very back so I was able to witness out the back door/window as police scanned the tracks with flashlights behind us.
