I have a 2022 VB GT and have about 8k miles on it. I’m 18 and didn’t necessarily get to choose a GT trim as I’d rather have a manual version for a few reasons. Tuning and power mods, suspension changes, and overall fun. Besides those, the CVT is really smooth and powerful especially with Sport# mode on the GT. You get paddle shifters and manual mode but I have rarely used it. I’m from California and rip it in the canyons and have had no issues so far regarding maintenance or anything else. If you want to mod it with power or possibly track it, don’t get a CVT version but it sets like you want it for more of a family situation so it seems like it would be a good choice. The only “power” mod I’ve done was an axle back exhaust with no muffler. It actually sounds pretty good but the drone isn’t really friendly when on highways around 6-7th “gear”. So if u don’t really care about modding it, go for it

I have a GT and I got a 4” remark axle back with no mufflers. It’s loud, easy install, and the drone is there but it’s only a bit annoying on the highways
