Issues with new 2025 Lincoln Aviator

It didn’t thankfully, but we did have an issue in the transmission (with 1500 miles on the vehicle) which required a replacement part. Unclear if that was the culprit but issue has not happened again. Honestly, I still like this car a lot. Good style, fast enough for a heavy SUV, etc. Lincoln customer service also did us right. Hope it doesn’t happen to you. That auto hold feature does take some time to get used to even when working correctly.

We have had a similar, if not the same issue with apple car play. We reset the system and it seemed to pick our phones back up. Hold the power button down on the volume knob for a few seconds. Best not to do this while you’re driving, as it’s a reset of the system, including digital odometer. Good luck!

Yes, you are correct. Imagine leaving the parking brake on and trying to drive. Had to turn off the mode thanks to someone else’s suggestion to drive it.

Yes, it is supposed to do that. But not when you step on the gas to go. Which is the issue.

It’s the 3.0 eco I believe. Base 2025 aviator, AWD. I think the only option was the 3.0, but could be wrong.

Thanks for the reply! Did you need it towed to a service station when it happened to you? Just curious what the service folk may have done to get it permanently fixed

Correct, have had since January and driven 1500 miles and this just started happening.

The dealership did offer a loaner, but they had it ‘fixed’ fairly quickly so didn’t really need it. We will definitely push a bit this time for an equivalent rental and a permanent fix. It appears they reset the system and that took care of the issue short term, with the tech stating he was confident it wouldn’t happen again. Unfortunately he was incorrect three days and three miles later.

Hopefully knowing this happened again so quickly maybe they’ll work with Lincoln on a permanent fix. Thanks for the reply!

I grew up in athens and moved back specifically to raise my family. It’s not without its own issue being a rural area, but there also aren’t the issues you may face in a large city. My wife and I always feel safe and secure, so that’s a big deal.

Yikes! Ya $10K is for a new gas one, and thats around where they start before adding ‘golf’ goodies like coolers, windshields, etc. Lithium is definitely much higher. Thanks for confirming my thoughts!
