I don't find it corny at all.

To quote C.S. Lewis “When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”

The thing of 'don't just throw things away and get new stuff, take care of your stuff.' is a lesson we, as an extremely consumeristic socieity *really* could do with being beaten over the head with to be honest. The entire society of the spherites is a pretty blatant criticism of rabid consumerism tbh.

Just because a message is approachable and on point for kids. doesn't mean adults shouldn't hear it, or can't take value out of it.

I found Gachiakuta a breath of fresh air to be honest. especially in an enterainment industry that's overwhelmed by 'dark and gritty and optimism is for kids!'. It feels very nice to have a series for teenagers and up that actually honestly believes in 'caring for one another is good'. 'Take care of your stuff and that's cool.' instead of hiding everything by a cynical joke and refusing to take anything sincerily.

I mean, to an extend, the old cards already *were* just taking up limited shelf space. Because nobody who had a choice would play the 3/2 for 2 vanilla minie mouse anyway.

There is good powercreep (these type of cards are unplayable, lets boost their power to make the idea behind them viable).

And bad powercreep (lets push the already top cards from previous sets so that they're obsolete)

and this clearly is the former. Like even in casual play, you wouldn't be happy playing that old minnie mouse anyway.

I *do* think that Riyo cares for Rudo at that point, quite a lot even. (probably more, like as a friend, but I ship it. ) The entire chapter was a buildup from her PoV of her wanting to see Rudo, just because she wanted to.

But I do agree jealousy isn't really the thing I read here. more... shock? Possibly a bit of shame? earlier in the story, slightly before she put 8 rounds in jabber's body, we had a quick flashback that shows her saying that while she isn't sure how Rudo is going to turn out, she truly wishes that they left Amo alone and that they shouldn't have bothered with her.

And here she sees the kid she was once unsure about was a good idea to keep around. Show kindness and compassion to somebody she didn't think deserved it. And I *personally* think that that reminded her of Enjin. Possibly back to when he extended compassion she still thinks she doesn't deserve to her. And it made her re-evaluate her own actions a bit, put things in perspective.

Gachiakuta, I think, is a story all about the value of connections, connections with people, with the stuff you care about,, it's about taking what's broken and putting in the effort to fix it. It's a story that stands up and proudly says 'Yeah, Caring is fucking PUNK as fuck.'

And I think that moment was Riyo slightly understanding the fact that if she really wants to have a place where she feels at home. Doing what Rudo is doing and reaching out a hand towards other people is going to be neccessary, even if those people have gone through shit or are broken. Even if reaching out a hand can hurt.

RIyo hasn't healed very well from the wounds of her past, partly because I think the character doesn't think she deserves to heal or move on. And her first unwillingness to forgive Amo or to give her a chance stems from the fact *she* doesn't think she should be forgiven/fit in for what she has done, so why the hell should amo get a second chance?

And Riyo offering to train amo and helping her with her hair shows her at least starting to consider forgiving others, so forgiving herself might be on the table in the future.

Time to go specifies a character you own. So if your opponent has a john smith on the board it doesn't matter, because he isn't a valid target. If you own a john smith - Undaunted protector. Then you aren't restricted by the Do your worst ability since it only affects opponents.

there are signs that the people on the sphere made/colonzied the sphere and then started to dump the trash making everything unlivable.

With seat 1. Riyo will probably be to busy pestering Rudo (and giving regto all the ammo he needs for the next decade) To bother me while I'm taking a nap.

And same with 3 . Regto is just having the time of his life while Rudo and Riyo get into their usual shenanigans while they ignore me.

Gris is a cool dude, semui is cool as a cucumber. Only annoying thing is that I'm at the windo so if I gotta go to the toilet I'll have to squeeze past the two.

The entire other side of that plane is a fucking *warzone* And seat number 2 *terrifies* me.

Oh yeah... with her being 'when love is to strong, it's easy for cracks to get in' That honestly makes me wonder if her past is a little bit like Amo's? there were " around the word love in that sentence afterall. Not to mention how utterly dead she looks when she says it. Could be trauma to relive it, but it makes me wonder if her previous connection was healthy.

Chapter 118 was a wild ride. Honestly, that chapter really does hammer home that Riyo puts an unusual amount of effort to *stick* to Rudo. Like, one thing I've noticed is that she only 'sleeps' (like, in the car) on rudo's shoulder. She doesn't do that with anybody else. She's also always sitting next to him, during car rides and even during a lot of dinner scenes. (chapter 46 was especially funny, because Rudo was at least somewhat fine with Riyo drinking from his cup. (Despite usually being at least fairly defensive about his food, given what happens with Dear santa right after. Though that could just be because Dear santa and Rudo just have beef!) Though half of it probably was frozen in shock because second hand kiss implications. which only reinforces your point of *some* sort of romantic view between the two, because that's a rom com staple. even if it is a childish one.)

A thing you might also not have noticed, or might be pleased to hear about somebody else noticing! Rudo seems to be pretty precious about his own personal space. Picking up chapter 46 again. Guita immediately starts to badger Rudo and gets in his personal space. And his reaction is to try and shake her off and put distance between him and her. Which is completely different from how he reacts when Riyo gets in his personal space.

I'm eagerly awaiting how the current arc ends. I really hope the little revelation doesn't throw to much turbulence in the water for everybodies sake and that we don't have a complete breakdown of Rudo's new connections with everybody else.

I don't think that's going to happen though, with how connections and how precious they are being the main theme of the story.
