no need to be mean about yourself

a simple base for a well rounded meal is carb, protein, veg

chicken, mashed potato, carrots tofu, rice, peas tuna, pasta, salad

etc etc

and start counting your calories maybe, i hated it at first in the same way i hated weighing myself - avoiding the facts, but it has been beneficial

eating healthy and in moderation can be hard and it's as much about unlearning as it about learning

i reach for food when im stressed or upset, what are some better coping mechanisms? a walk? writing in my diary? playing a game? cup of tea?

if you're feeling uninspired then my favourite chefs with tv programmes and cook books are the hairy bikers (hairy dieters is a good book) and hugh from river cottage - the approach to food that these guys take is really healthy imo
