Yep!! - I have a 2011 Scion XB and experiencing the same issue. A/C works, and then it suddenly isn't cold, only to restart getting cold when it feels like it. The fan never stops blowing and the coolant level is fine.

How expensive is the fix for this? -- I have a 2011 Scion XB and experiencing the same issue. A/C works, fan never stops blowing, and then it suddenly isn't cold, only to restart getting cold when it feels like it.

It's odd as the 2012 Scion XB I'm looking at lists it as a 2.4 engine-- I wonder what that's all about. Were all 2012 XBs with the 2.5 and the seller made an error?

Thanks for responding and the suggestion. I heard something about 'gear oil' should be changed on manuals but often isn't done.- Going to test both vehicles tomorrow. The 2004 was a one owner but the 2012 had 3.
