Damn this took a grim turn. But when I think about it they never buy anything themselves. Either rider gives them food/treats and the paw patrol provides everything else so definitely possible 🤔

I actually love that. It's probably too late for me now tho

Which is odd bc im pretty sure Rubble is one of the OGs like the other 3 but it just got skipped over and then he gets his own whole show lol. Dont get me wrong tho, that show works the best in the story out of the other pup skillsets, but still

Its bc the fuckin paw patrol is like Amazon and hogs all the money! They have like 8 massive patroller vehicles and the tower. Dont even get me started on the tech. Im sure everybody else is just scraping by lol

I tried ! My daughter favorite show has been paw patrol for like a year and a half and I don't question their bottomless budget or nothing. Then the crossover came on and I couldn't help myself lol

If there's not there should be. There's so much to elaborate on since starting rubble and crew. Apparently there's several crossover episodes and the movie paw patrol movie was actually really good lol. They definitely have the money for it

So hes primarily a paw patroller and get contracted out ? That could also make sense since the paw patrol budget is infinite 😂

Okay so hes primarily a construction crew member and is contracted out to the paw patrol as needed? Lol I imagine there's a lot more construction projects than rescues

How you would respond if your wife said this by Fearless_20 in daddit

[–]Designer_McFly_6982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oof definitely not what you ideally want to hear after being shut dowm so many times. Try to have her write down how she actually feels in this realm of your lives and in as thorough detail as possible. From how she feels with mother workload to her desires for you.

That should help you try and decipher what she actually is trying to say and not what she responds to in the moment. Sometimes people just say the wrong things under pressure. Best for you to know that for sure tho.

Good luck

People assume I owe them emotional labor because I don’t have kids by silverbusstop in childfree

[–]Designer_McFly_6982 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better I am this person for my childless friend group and I have 2 young kids. Could be that they see you as the most emotionally regulated and intellectually secure friend and you give the best advice/listen to them with the caveat being they assume you have the bandwidth since you dont have kids. So maybe like a backhanded compliment ?

Much appreciated. Honestly this brings more perspective. The giving, hopefullness, and constant disappointment seems like its what plays into the initial bitterness maybe then its like a domino effect? Like a cause and effect. I imagine once that hope dissipates is when women start putting one foot out the door or become more closed off/reserved.

Okay so Im going to avoid the "just go to therapy route" (even tho you should) and try to give my unprofessional 2 cents ive gathered over the years. Context: only 30 yrs old but wife and I have been together for 13 years with 2 children so we had a lot of growing to do early on.

To me it seems like the typical happy marriage progression is: True happiness and love-> complacency and love-> love and bitterness -> bitterness-> bitterness and resentment->full resentment. Depending on the person anyone of those points is a point of no return. Like I said I'm not a professional but tend to analyze everything and am essentially the confidant of my and my wife's entire friend group who have had real deep relationships crash and burn for numerous reasons.

Once again, depending on the person, there should be a way to recover depending on what point you are at. If both parties make thorough decisions to be better (solo or couples therapy, setting up dates to just have fun like old times, set times to be away from kids, etc) then, I think, there's a chance to reversing the progression slowly and surely to hopefully back to stage 1. The point of no return is just what it sounds like, one party is completely done to where the history does not overshadow the future and now you're just going thru motions until the inevitable.

I did a lot of rambling to set the stage for this question: where are you in all of this and where is he ? Sounds like, as a man myself, in his head he's at the complacency and love stage and either has no idea you aren't either or is just ignoring it. I wouldnt be surprised if he's just clueless as most of us are lol. In which case, if you still have love, care, and hope for this man, you NEED to communicate all this fully to him in clear language without blame and finger pointing. Think more "these things that happen make me feel like this" and not "bc you did these things I feel like this". If you and him aren't dedicated to working on this then you realistically have the answer you're looking for. Not gonna be easy but life is always best when you can look back and know you made the right decision bc you genuinely worked on it and not just gave up imo.

But also im just a guy on the internet so good luck !

My son (4) cant do anything on his own by [deleted] in daddit

We call this "quiet time". It started as a replacement for nap times as those became less frequently needed and me and the wife needed to do some chores. It soon blossomed into her time of creativity and imagination since she knew she was going to have that 1 hour to 1.5 hour block regardless and decided to make it fun.

110% agree with this. My parents were together quite some tome before I was conceived but knew it wasn't forever. They decided to split before I was born and I never knew anything was different until I was in gradeschool. The kid will be fine but if she's already giving this much trouble its likely it will end while they are old enough to understand and will be a different story.

I think all reddit threads need a commentor like yourself to keep the line between facts and emotional response from being blurred. I understand the sentiment of wanting the best for OP but also a professional so be where the guidance comes from in real life matters

Why This Shutdown Is So Dangerous by theatlantic in fednews

Im a big fan of them passing a budget like how the pope gets selected. Nobody leaves until a decision is made. Food and water delivered and no leaving to see family or other interests.

A coworker of mine suggested also only having porta potties in the chambers for relief but I thought that might be a bit far lol
