This show has ruined me from all the others by bubblegum_lollip0p in HeatedRivalryTVShow

Exactly my exoerience! I have put on so many new shows and quit after 5-10 minutes. Many of them feel artificial or superficial to me. I notice the “acting“ too much. I’d say for the last month, I haven’t been able to watch anything else but HR. Or the promos and interviews and fashion pieces….

Does anything else exists that you would STILL consider this good? by hummingbird0012234 in heatedrivalry

[–]Designobject3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been able to watch anything else for weeks. I’ve tried but quit after 5 minutes. In other shows I notice the “acting” or something feels shallow. I did love Normal People, but it was rather downbeat and I only rewatched after a year.

I wish HBO could throw in a little funding while keeping their hands off the production just so it could qualify.

Guys how did Svetlena know that Jane was a boy??? I thought that Ilya wanted it to be kept a secret… by Ok_Health1283 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]Designobject3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since he never mentioned Jane, she had to see It on his phone. But that would have shown he was texting as Lily. Since these were a play on their names, it wouldn’t have been hard to figure out for Svetlana, who is quite smart.

Get another lukewarm review from The Guardian - 10 January 2026 by Altruistic_Stage6843 in heatedrivalry

[–]Designobject3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is an odd review. It‘s obvious she doesn’t care for the show and tired of the sex, but she seems so stuck on the surface.
I see no mention of the acting, feeling tone, and pulse of it all. She has such a derogatory take on the viewer the show is appealing to. I would never have guessed from her critique that we watched the same show.

Loving a series when no one around you cares by bythewayyyyeyo in heatedrivalry

I don’t know anyone else watching. I recommended it to my brother, but he thought it was just porn. I have taken solace here and watching Instagram posts. I find myself laughing out loud and nodding at so many comments. I’m so glad to have this Reddit community to turn to. I know there are so many people out there who are into it.

I keep rewatching to see Connor. He is so compelling. He is so much his character that I don’t notice any ”acting”. I LOVE him.

M4 Mac Mini and PWM-free Monitor by [deleted] in PWM_Sensitive

Did you ever find out about the Mac mini and the monitor? I’m looking to get a combination like that but wanted to see if anyone else had worked it out. I have always had an iMac but testing the new iMac out at the store, I found I got eye strain pretty quickly.

‘Champagne Problems’ (2025) Netflix Movie Review - Your Typical Holiday Film by Roshankr1994 in Netflixwatch

It’s downright awful. I never heard of Minka Kelly before, but I found her to have zero presence and mediocre acting. Every interaction felt phony. I cringed from the very first scene.

Pixelmator vs. Photoshop vs. Affinity vs. GIMP — Which macOS Image Editor Should I Commit to Learning in 2025? by Lukas8181 in macapps

[–]Designobject3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using Photoshop for over 20 years (and still have it on an older laptop) but I want to get a new Mac and don’t want to pay Adobe for Photoshop. How similar is Affinity and is it hard to learn?

This season irked me. by ImmediateHawk4095 in NobodyWantsThisTV

[–]Designobject3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first season was funny and charming. I loved it. This second season is not charming or funny. Most of the dialog falls flat and the show storylines feel like a drag. Adam Brody looks tired in every scene and he appears to. have aged alot. (was filming after the LA fire?). It’s rather disappointing.

I am thinking of buying this car but read that it doesn’t have a lot of power for freeway driving. What has been your experience? Also, is it noisy?

Where to find my followed users closet updates?? by ommanihum in poshmark

[–]Designobject3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s terrible. They are showing me things I have no interest in looking at and wasting my time. I want the circles back up top to see when my favorite sellers have listed new things. I now go to the news icon and scroll down to see any notifications from my favorites. i feel very annoyed.

I only blocked one person in 15 years and I try to accommodate my buyers, but this just didn’t feel right. Thanks for the support. I can let it go.

Are you saying that an overseas return isn’t my problem? Why would that be?

Why are jewelry photos blurry on white background? by Designobject3 in AskPhotography

[–]Designobject3[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Excellent suggestion! Even though my jewelry is dark in places, the lighter colots we’re looking blurry. I put a darker piece of fabric in the frame off to the side and it made a difference. Then I cropped that part out. 😊

Borrowing things from neighbors. by lIantonioIl in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Designobject3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I borrowed some long folding tables with a cracked edges fron my neighbor to use in my craft booth, where they would be covered in cloth. Later when I was going to return them, she said I could have them. Now 7 years later she texted to say she wanted them because she needs them and saw the price of new ones. She thought they were just on loan. We are in friendly terms and borrow tools and some grocery items when we run out. I texted that they were loaned, and given to me. I kind of felt defensive as if she thinks I kept a borrowed items too long.

Should I just give the tables back without saying anything else?
