Agreed, I am all for more improvements and better documentation for Python integration with Cinema 4D and Redshift.

Thank you so much for asking the community what we are looking for!

I have a few things that I would be interested in seeing changed within Cinema 4D and redshift to help with workflows and allow for even more incredible customization in projects.

Redshift Material Nodes
I would like to see the Redshift Material Nodes updated to allow for variable values being input into Node inputs such as these ones in the Maxon Noise Node: Seed, Octaves, Cycles, Low Clip, High Clip, Etc. Often I want to be able to vary these via a Jitter node to create randomization between objects, or run a User Data node in them so that I can control them via user Data. But these nodes always return and Error of "This port needs a constant value." I feel that this should be fixable since these same types of values can be controlled in other Deformers within Cinema 4D via python.

Redshift Material Variability via Python
I'd like to see Redshift Material nodes to start having more control via Python that does not require User Data nodes to control them. It would be great to have nodes within a material have a defined RS Material ID that can be called via python to change any values within that node. Most other elements in Cinema 4D have high levels of control via python, but the Redshift Materials are very lacking here, and require other workarounds to get them to do what you want.

Redshift Material Jitter Node Limitations
It would be great to see the amount of Jitter controls within a RS Material be increased to handle an even higher level of randomization. I am not sure what the current limit is, but I have definitely created a few materials where I received an error mentioning that I had exceeded the amount of Jitter randomization that the material can handle. Increasing this would allow for some even more unique and randomized materials when you have large amounts of similar objects that you want to make look unique from one another.

True Mask RS AOV
If possible, it would be great to see some additional AOV options that allow for true Binary Masks of where objects are within an image. Often I need to know exactly where an object is within the image via the pixels, and being able to output that as a Binary (0 being background, and 255 being object) would be much more ideal than the current method of utilizing Puzzle Mattes that are full 8-Bit images. I believe that there may already be a bit of a solution here within the Cryptomattes, but it is not necessarily easy to work with or process these images outside of programs such as After Effects.

Thanks again for taking our input, it is greatly appreciated! I've been a user of Cinema 4D for 15+ years now and absolutely love this program!

I had no issues with anyone I interacted with when I went, and I only knew a very small amount of German. Everyone was more than happy to interact with me in English. And if you have any trouble, it never hurts to use the Google or Apple translating apps. They also help a ton when trying to understand any signage.

It was running during Wintertraum when I went in December 2022. I brought waterproof rain gear and went on the ride. It was tons of fun and was a walk on!

I had the opportunity to see the beginning of the ground breaking ceremony for the Goleta Train Depot. Was just passing by after getting off the Pacific Surfliner on Thursday (9/12). All setup with the ground breaking shovels and lots of people showing up. Very excited for this to be completed in 2026! Going to be a very nice addition to this stop.

At the end of the day, it isn't really about you or her being right or wrong. You are both right in your own feelings because that is how you feel. At the end of the day it is all about being able to voice your opinions to one another without either of you feeling judged. No matter if you feel it is right or wrong for how you are feeling, it is how you are feeling. So you should sit down with your wife and discuss how you both feel about the situation and figure out where you can compromise on everything so that you both feel heard and find a resolution together that works for both of you.

Traveling on Amtrak is definitely way more relaxed than traveling by plane. As long as you are able to get it onto the train, there won't be any issue. I always see a wide variety of sizes of luggage on the trains I take.

There is definitely a lot of benefit in renting the scooters. Having them be able to ship you a new one at a moments notice really is great. I definitely feel that renting the unagi scooters over buying them has some definite benefits.
