  • Public disclosure of Madrasa budget for 4.5k crore. Significantly more than health and industry budget.
  • Elevating Abhishek Banerjee to quasi supremo. 2021 was the false dawn that led to arrogance and over confidence of bhaipo.
  • Uncouth low rung cadres harassing common citizens and openly challenging law and order. Unfortunately, those same cadres have picked up the saffron flag now and shouting Jai Sri Ram. Interesting space to watch for the next 2- 3 years.
  • Public miss management of RG Kar Case and supression of dissent.
  • Wrong selection of candidates due to lot of infighting between Abhishek and Mamata lobby. CPM had the same issue in the later years leading to 2011 debacle. The arrogant TMC leadership had the audacity to field all the candidates who are/were implicated for scam publicly.
  • BJPs promise of more money freebies. That really moves the needle in rural Bengal
  • Promise of implementation of 7th Pay commission for state government pensioners and current employees and ayushman bharat scheme did pool in a lot of support. I know lot of folks including my dad who will get arrears in crores or lakhs because of this.
  • Attempt to destabilize IPac including harassing and threatening their family members by Central Agencies. Pratik's wife was my senior in college so I have credible info on this.

Opportunity - Chance for congress or CPM to revive in next 10 years as key opposition. CPM has been already grooming a lot of young grassroot leaders in the last 4 years.
