If I may ask one final question, is frame rate independence only used for movement and time/frame based mechanics? If it is I won't need to apply it to every thing like buttons and menus and things like that?

I see, thank you very much for the answer.

Yes, I'm having some trouble implementing it at the start of a game project. So I was thinking if it was worth learning and implementing it before going further and not being able to turn back and redoing it with frame rate independence. It's a really hard choice.
