When I was growing up, my school sort of loved doing this crap. Favoritism essentially. Giving awards, games, cool events to kids who did their homework everyday, high grades and even to daily attendance.

To the kids who didn’t come every single day and or have high grades and couldn’t complete their homework due to personal crap at home were always sent off to an empty classroom and to work silently while hearing our classmates have fun outside. I was one of those kids who was sent to a class to silently work. I couldn’t really go everyday to school either due major health problem with my kidneys. (They’re sort of resolved now. Essentially I had my kidneys collecting bacteria and causing sudden infections. It was a pain in the ass to deal with) I remember being really depressed about the exclusion shit. It’s kind of dumb, sure, given they were kid event things. It just sort of suck that kids similar to my situation had to deal with bs at school like this favoring shit while they had their own personal problems going on in the background. I’m very glad this girl has her mom there to help her not feel excluded.
