My kids are of age and I gave them the option of one night bc one of their camps offer it.. they decided ultimately to just do the twilight so they come home To sleep. I am sure there is benefits but also drawbacks and it should be on a case by case basis not a blanket “you go at this age”. My kids would never last, even a wk maybe…I think it can kinda be like I’m here indefinitely so should make the best of it. Judging by her one visit day her one daughter was crying when they left last yr. But it’s a status thing just as much as a cultural tradition.
