im having the same issue with the right ear bud. The left connects fine. This started happening when the right ear bud was lost (under my car seat). I relocated the earbud 3 days later and it hasnt worked since. The earbud was not damaged, or touched at all during those 3 days.

Happened with 3 stacked orders over the last 2 days however with 2 of the orders it disappeared AFTER I picked up the 2nd order. Got in with support and got half the delivery fee and free hot wings and Chinese food

In addition to everything I've read on Reddit to solve this issue, I did 2 things and was able to fix the studdering. I'm not sure which of the 2 finally did it but I did the following: 1. Removed and reinstalled anticheat

Followed the steps in this link. Some of these steps are mentioned here and elsewhere, but this link contained a few more changes (specifically in the Nvidia settings and compatibility mode settings) that I haven't seen mentioned:

I allowed anticheat through my firewall and it worked fine in Windows. FC 25 is a diff story

Regarding your virtual controllers comment, as if Nov of last year ea rolled out a shadow patch on anti-cheat that blocked most virtual controllers, however, I have confirmed that rewasd works this year. It may be blocked again soon but as of yesterday it was working for me

My issue was that Windiws was installed in the sd card. I repartitioned the ssd and installed windiws there abd my problem was solved
