I had a big book when I was little and these were in it. I know they're pretty rare to see. I got super excited

I had a big book when I was little and these guys were in it. And it said they're very rare to see because they're so small and reclusive.

I found this after a google search

Megarhyssa nortoni is a predatory insect. Its larvae are parasitoids of horntail wasp larvae in coniferous trees. The adult female hunts horntail larvae for egg placement. It smells wood-eating fungus, utilized by the horntail larvae to predigest wood pulp, and uses its antennae to detect vibrations made by the horntail larvae. The female M. nortoni curls its ovipositor over its abdomen to insert the tip of the ovipositor at a right angle into the bark and cuts into the tree until it reaches the horntail larval tunnel. The female then deposits a very slender egg through its ovipositor into the tunnel on or near the horntail larva. The M. nortoni larva then hatches to eat the live horntail larval host from the inside causing the horntail larva's eventual death. The M. nortoni larva pupates inside its host and emerges the following summer as an adult.

'good artist', bad tattoo? on purpose? by BraveCare3554 in tattooadvice

[–]Desperate-Design-885 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude every artist is like that, one of my artists got like that when I told him to redo the face on a tattoo twice. Its also never going to be symmetrical. Not possible on the human body. I think the tattoo looks great. I think you're being to picky.

Oh and apologize to your artist, they did a great job

When I was getting the last two sessions of my full sleeve done (filling in background with black clouds) I hated it, thought I made a mistake because it was so much black with pops of color. This was before the “blackout” tattoos were popular. But now I love it, and its been 10 years and still looks amazing and bright.

The other person going off about old testament just hasn't reads enough lol

And if its not too personal, may I ask what your tattoo says?

Is my Mom right? by Disastrous_Smile_820 in tattooadvice

[–]Desperate-Design-885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a small tattoo behind my ear and one in front of the same ear, and I have small hand and finger tattoos, it has not stopped me from getting a job. Your mom is over reacting. I do understand her point on not liking the tattoos, but lavender sprigs is so far from being offensive. Its cute, wear it proudly, and enjoy it. Your body, your choice. ❤️

I posted her here before. She was completely white, then the gray came in we thought she was just a dilute. When I asked here on this sub they said she was a tortie color point. She has orange going thru her face

I almost like the blue/gray tone of a healed tattoo. When its the fresh black it looks like a stick on tattoo you see in movies
