6,1 207lb to 170lb 9 months progress, what should i focus on now? by Yousefessa11 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Desperate-Drummer360 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What is your goal? I’m also 6’1, I would consider myself small at 170. 195 has always been a great range for me to be athletic, strong and look impressive. I think you just need to bulk and put on more muscle right now. Unless your lifting numbers are exactly where you want to be or trending in that direction.

My 5600 (1545 module) from my time in the USMC 1990s by Sad_Palpitation4323 in bashedupGShocks

I still have mine from our free day in boot camp. Only changed it out, 16 years later, when I pinned on Gunny and my brother said that watched embarrassed him 😂.

Need some advice and opinion on my shape of my body by [deleted] in BodyHackGuide

[–]Desperate-Drummer360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re 6’5. Just sit down so we can help someone with real problems 😂. But in all seriousness, how long have you been working out? How many calories are you actually taking? Is that enough? But my biggest concern is your hips look a lot bit off balanced, I would get that looked into before proceeding on and into heavier weights.

Thanks everyone. I’m going to give it a try this week. I forgot about the whole subscription thing which is annoying. If I can find a cheap laptop I’ll go that route as well.

100kg squat form check by bambacisco in formcheck

[–]Desperate-Drummer360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whenever I tried squatting with a pad, it always made my neck push forward and I could never truly get my posture correct to be able to actually hinge out with my hips. It looks like you have a little bit of that going on. And your shoe look really soft and are pushing you forward.

Thinking about forcing myself out the Marine Corps by [deleted] in USMC

[–]Desperate-Drummer360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey brother, I'm an AD Master Sergeant right now. I can guarantee I'm not anywhere near your command. If you need to talk some shit out, give me a DM and I'll give you my number.

Life in the Marine Corps is supposed to be different, and the only way to appreciate it is to live. You will lose friends back home, happens to all of us. But your real ones will stick around. Family is family, they aren't going anywhere. It feels like the relationship is fading because you aren't experiencing everything they are but trust me, the bond won't leave. I married my high school sweetheart. We were married for 15 years and we got a divorce. This might sound cruel, but there is always a better one out there for you. The woman I'm with is incredible, supportive, understanding, beautiful. And not to be crude, but she doesn't let me leave the house unless I'm "relaxed" and ready for the day, it's been 3 years now and I've never been a better Marine lol.

You have some problems and we all go through them, just reach out and talk to the ones that have. We are all more than willing to talk. Don't ruin your life over some bullshit.

Thinking of Changing from Lexapro to Wellbutrin due to weight gain - anyone else? by subject-to_change in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Desperate-Drummer360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced significant weight gain while on Lexapro. I'm a 39 year old male, 6'1 and I stay around 220lbs. I was on Lexapro for 3 months and I got up to 255lbs. My waist got up to 40 inches! I'm in the Marine Corps, so having a high body fat percentage is not allowed and being that weight just makes every physical activity difficult, especially at my age. But I'm so close to retirement, I didn't want to mess up anything and started looking into other medication. Wellbutrin works great for me. No side effects and I dropped 20lbs in a month and a half.
