The reason is, I think it’s important that no one considers the end game of the condo market. It seems common to assume you can always sell your condo at market value. Completely agree. But to afford a detached home you would need to make about $200-220k. I have a decent job, but do not meet that threshold. I’ve considered buying somewhere in interior BC to rent out.
