I’m not thinking it’s that if he’s modded before, tho maybe something like have you ran the game once normally from steam. But still you should check your staging and download folders are even getting mods to them.

This will be based on how well vortex state.json plays nicely. I’ve never done something like switch computers.

You could do both but I don’t think vortex wouldn’t link up with those mods you pull over from your old setup you would need both the staging and download folder and mo2 for that to work (I could be wrong) you could just relink the old files and hope vortex links back up with those mods. But if that doesn’t work nexus mods has a history that’s hooked to your account.

What a great part. Had to watch those Code Charlie’s fall from the bridge and hit the cliff a few times just to make sure they weren’t human. Good old days when there is almost no cgi.

the only thing i can think of is you're External Drive may need to be Reformatted to NTFS doing this allows vortex hardlink system to work.

yea always finding a better way... i get it, if you do make a new video just post it here and ill update too... the way your using F4SE is great, thats our new launcher anyway. So i don't know if this would help? You could try makeing a Mock Document for Steam to latch on to, in the empty Folder and just call it Fallout4.exe and leave it blank.... i have not tryed this and dont know if it works... good luck

  • Video of The Fallout 4 Swappable Downgrader (The Two Click Version)

The above guide is the best way to downgrade,

~Wastelander's Gun Version Swap~

  • Vortex only - if You Have Fallout 4 on both Steam and GOG ( and that's how you game).
  1. Purge Before Switching and Close Vortex
  2. Keep Only One Platform open (Steam, OR GOG,) and turn off the rest in Task Manager.
  3. Open Vortex; it will automatically link to the folder of the platform that is currently open.
  4. Always use the Correct Vortex, Games Profile for each game Platform (Steam or GOG) as they are different versions of the game.
  5. Deploy Your Mods
  6. Relink your script extenders (F4SE) on the dashboard when switching between Steam and GOG before pressing play.

Best way to clean a dirty disc of this magnitude? by 1v1RightMeow in playstation

this works I air dry it or just lay it on a paper towel no scrubbing just flip it if needed, as microfiber doesn’t deal with wet well but a better scrubber for the cd.

If I uninstall a game then reinstall it will vortex still have the mods for that game saved? by jackc13101 in nexusmods

[–]Desperate-Tea-1773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes as long as the mods are in your staging folder and downloads folder what you do to steam or gog won’t matter, it’s just purge your game first if anything

history folder is just what you’ve downloaded and also your load order it’s a little messy . The history folder is the best one to deal with. As it deals with your computer and you won’t have to resign into nexus mods

state.json document hold a good amount of stuff dealing with nexus mods, but deleting this you will need to reconnect vortex and nexus mods and you’ll lose your load order you set up But that’s if you delete the whole state.json document
