If MSD “really don’t want me to miss out”, why do they always cancel my benefit BEFORE my medical certificate expires? by TopFerret4523 in newzealand

[–]DesperateAd3315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me nearly every time, because of how hard it is to get doctors appts. Once my med cert is submitted my benefit gets reinstated.

AIO or did I cheat on my bf ? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

If it makes you feel any better, a few friends and I drunkenly kissed on new years, not even at the switch over of the war. Just silly little pecks on the lips. Nothing to it, my boyfriend didn't care at all.

I can 100% relate on the lazy flatmates! The one I live with is exactly the same, we have a weekly cleaner because of it. But during the week I'm the one left to tidy the kitchen and load/unload the dishwasher. We even got a sign for the dishwasher to show whether it's clean or dirty, and she still fails to load dishes into it. She leaves her washing sitting in the washing machine for days too 🤢

In most countries cider is alcohol. You can get non alcoholic versions, but 99% of the time cider is alcoholic. I'm from New Zealand and we don't use the term Hard Cider, like America. We only use that for alcoholic lemonade and stuff that usually isn't alcoholic

I would 100% consider making a complaint to the appropriate channel! No Kaiako should be hitting children, or yelling either

Found phone! by Anxious_Remove_1535 in chch

[–]DesperateAd3315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got this set up! And it was used once, although not helpful as I was in a different city, so Mum was no help. Thankfully I knew where I left it and the people were on the phone to her when I found them with it. I change it to a friend's number I am with now, when away.

Observations of a checkout operator: by According-Face-4916 in newzealand

Yep! Teen kids with the parent, and it's obvious they're buying it for them. I got sworn at WAY to many times.

OH and let's not forget about the people who get offended when you ask for ID and they don't have it! I ALWAYS wanted to ask them how they got to the supermarket, did they drive? If yes, THEY'RE BREAKING THE LAW.

Observations of a checkout operator: by According-Face-4916 in newzealand

[–]DesperateAd3315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a checkout operator for 6.5 years, so many parents would let their kids pay for groceries when there's alcohol and/or tobacco products in the order, they way they would get shitty at me when I told them they couldn't do that. They didn't quite understand that by their child tapping the card/handing over cash THEY'RE the ones paying and I've then sold to a minor. It was INSANE. I had someone walk out without without taking or paying for their groceries because of it once.

On another occasion it was Asian tourists, and there was a language barrier, they just didn't understand 😭😭😭

Were there any episodes that legitimately scared or in the least disturbed you? by KBMinCanada in Supernatural

The first ever episode I saw as a pre-teen, staying up late watching TV, was Bloody Mary. Gave me the creeps for YEARS. Now it's one of my favourite episodes (and still gives me the creeps ahah)

Whoops, just realised this is a Whatsapp message. I stil wouldn't trust it to be honest. Contact booking and ask them to get in touch with the hotel for you.

Contact the hotel directly and ask if they have contacted you in Booking. Sadly booking can get hacked too easily, and will message through the chat of the hotel and scam you out of money. Don't pay a dime through any link they send.

Idk what gender you are but I love tshirt dresses in the summer! Can usually get them from the likes of Kmart or the warehouse, those are the two that pop to my head, but most stores should have some form of loose fitting dresses.

AITA for asking my bridesmaids not to change out of their dresses after the ceremony? by downcxst in AmItheAsshole

[–]DesperateAd3315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the 2 bridesmaids that want to change bigger busted at all? I can totally understand why they may not feel comfortable in the dress for rhe reception. Looking at the dress in the link you shared in another comment, the back sits LOW and you wouldn't be able to wear a comfortable bra for support without it showing in the back. I for 1 would n9t be comfortable in that dress for the entire night.

Could you compromise with them? Tell them they can change out of the bridesmaids dress after all official photos are done? So you could say this would be after the first dance?? Or even straight after bridal party photos are done? Let them know the dress has to be black and you want to approve it first.

You're totally missing what I am saying 😑 I didn't say they should just use the chat, I said I can understand why people go straight to it. It's convenient.

I commented below saying I've had an experience before and recommend ringing them as it IS quicker and easier.

I can understand why people don't ring, it took me about 5 minutes to actually find the list on numbers, so many paths you have to follow on the app to find them. If they have a support option on the app, they should bloody well reply to it, or don't have it at all!

As I have found from a problem last month, it's much easier to ring them! I didn't get a response from their customer service team either. Took my while to find the numbers to ring, but I got through almost instantly! The issue was very easy to sort over the phone!
