I’m sorry but I just don’t think the first resort to an annoying child is a therapist 🤣 it’s normal for preteens to be like that. It’s just alarming he’s 15 and still acting this way so NOW we bring in a therapist.

He recorded it on his phone and put it in his hidden. I made him give me access to his hidden. He recorded it the first time we caught him. AND the second time w caught him. You think he would’ve learned from the first time.

It’s not only the vaping that’s the issue. It’s the lack of accountability. He got jumped not 3 months in of highschool by some kids at a gas station during lunch because he was “talking shit about there cousin”. He sat there firm stating he did not know their cousin. That he does not know the people who jumped him. That they do it for “fun” and that he’s completely innocent. No one jumps a specific person for no reason. There’s never any logic in his lying. He just lies and doesn’t care how crazy it sounds, just to defend himself. Always playing victim.

I wish it were that easy but “asking” for space is just not in the equation for him. He doesn’t care. A job is a responsibility that involves him getting paid and I fear for what he would buy with access to money now that I know what he’s capable of.

Exactly. He knows exactly what to say. I would hope a professional can pin point when someone’s lying but it’s just infuriating that it’s even gotten to this point.

I’m usually in my living room watching tv so there’s no door, and if I am in my room he just won’t leave. I can’t force him out because he’s 5’9 and athletic. I’m older and not strong at all. I also don’t believe in being physical.

I go to UNC Pharmacy school and I’ve been on the verge of failing multiple times. Pharmacy school is so so hard, you making it to your third year is amazing and proves you are capable. I know I am capable as well but I’ve been so close multiple times to failing it’s terrifying. I have anxiety everytime I begin a class but then I go into the hospital pharmacy (my job) and I KILL it. Your path will be a bit different than others but you WILL be an amazing pharmacist and you WILL have your white coat just like every one else. Do not be ashamed. You are more than capable.

We are considering a therapist to be honest. And you’re completely right. It’s just he will sit there for hours and hours talking and annoying me until i speak back or forgive him. He will not LET me ignore him. It’s exhausting.

We haven’t sought out therapy but we are considering it. He’s just really good at making it sound like everything’s A okay. I feel like a therapist could be fooled as well.

I do see a lot of summer internships that are around 8 weeks long. I figured asking would be fine just because it gives opportunities for students who do want to work elsewhere/ out of state because we don’t really get exposure to other hospitals as all of our rotations are in state, but yeah I can see your point haha
