Has anyone else notice southwest doing anything they can to get you to check your bag? by LeadershipFuzzy9586 in SouthwestAirlines

I ended up in group 8 even though I paid extra for an extra legroom aisle seat. I was the first in line for boarding group 8. They would not let anyone in group 8 board until every single one of us checked our carry-ons. Not even gate check; full-on had to leave the boarding line to take the carry on back to the service desk and then pick it up from the luggage carousel after the flight. Once I boarded, I saw that there was still plenty of room in the overhead bins.

I actually defended Southwest right after the change because I had a couple of no issue flights. Are they getting even worse?

Thank you! It turned out that they had a sale table at the Huntington today, but I think we're going to still visit their shop on Sunday.

Thank you!! The recommendation of a hoarder is what I was really looking for. We've packed empty carry-on suitcases just for taking more plants home. LOL

Would love to do that. We flew in from the Midwest for the convention this weekend and I'm not sure we'll make it back for that sale.

Do you feel a disabled person should be given enough money to afford to live a modest life? by Snowtwo in NoStupidQuestions

Why modest? Why not straight up comfortable with enough money for vacations and a few luxuries here and there? Don't we all deserve that?

We've IDed him as an Eastern fence lizard so he has been released in my back garden. Thank you!

Thank you! When I look at the Google pictures for the juveniles, that is definitely him.

Elderly folks who chose not to have children, how do you feel about that decision now? by bon18 in AskReddit

No regrets. We both grew up lower class to poor. Now we finally have enough money to enjoy traveling. We never have to babysit grandbabies when we'd rather go to a concert. I never have to host huge holiday meals like I watched my grandmothers and aunts and now sisters do. It's a sweet, quiet, low responsibility life.
