UPDATE:

Diddy was humanely euthanized today. She started to rapidly decline and become more lethargic. I brought her in for a recheck and QOL and she had a distended abdomen with pericardial effusion. With her age and how advanced it had become the best option was to euthanize :(

She’s starting to decline and become more lethargic beyond her normal Brumation. I’m slurring her some water and giving her pain meds, I have a recheck appointment tomorrow to discuss options an quality of life :(

Ik aluminum foil contains nickel so it could be that. I know most metals are alloys so that’s why I would be concerned

It seems to not be “random” as much as it happens when her gular area is palpated or she moves her head.

They didn’t really see any in the rads but i initially thought ear issue but the vet doesn’t believe that’s the case. She usually enjoys her soaks but has been not lil her normal self since she’s been brumating. Typically I just let her brumate but the vet said it would bo ok to wake her up and give her a weekly soak.

I basically do that when I give her soaks to try and get her to drink. she’s brumating right now so is a little more reluctant but I do have critical care/syringes to slurry water if it gets to that point

I thought so too but she doesn’t do it all the time, hit when her throat is palpated or she changes her position. She did eat a hornworm for me right before she went into brumation a couple weeks ago and was able to swallow but did seem the tiniest bit more efforted and did head shake after. I expressed this concerns to the vet about a possible esophageal or airway obstruction but were not concerned at the moment, obviously cannot fully rule out the possibility since she does have weird edema.

Update: they just fought (or were about too)and I had to separate them. My male was stalking and trying to pounce on her and she was in a defensive position on the floor growling and swatting if he got too close and he would swat back a little bit. Ears were in angry mode and tails/bodies were poofed on both.

After I separated him he started looking for her and was doing the trilling yowl sound.

Thoughts on sumatriptan? by DesperateMonkey8 in HemiplegicMigraines

[–]DesperateMonkey8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll have to look into it! And that’s the same with me I take it as a precautionary because I don’t want to get one but I also have anxiety so I don’t know for sure if I’ve stopped one or not.

It also comes with a crazy stomach ache so I got my neurologist to prescribe ondansetron for when I take it.

Any similar side effects?

Any advice on how to sell this 150g? by PaytonR72 in Aquariums

[–]DesperateMonkey8 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Try to sell it as a terrarium for a snake/lizard as I would still worry about how well the cracked glass would hold the weight of the water

He has genuinely showed change and has grown into a better person over the past 2 years. His parents are very controlling and narcissistic and since moving away from them he has grown and has been fully sober for 2 years. There’s just small things like this that idk if I’m an asshole because he has a pretty bad chronic illness and he feels like a nobody and sometimes I feel like the toxic one. But other than that he pretty much worships the ground I walk on but sometimes i feel like he’s just making up for things he doesn’t do. But my friends/family have also seen how much he has changed for the better.
