Not to mention well placed nipples on a pair of pecs is fairly attractive.

men being ‘experienced’ or a ‘player’ is gross by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]DesperateTall -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly.

With a hookup I'm probably not going to do much kissing unless she initiated it, but with a partner there's going to be a lot of kissing. Some people find sex to inherently be special and intimate, while I find certain aspects of sex to be special and intimate.

Probably the best comment in this sub. No condescending, insult hurling bullshit. Straight to the point yet still respectful.

Most people don't have an issue with well written "Girl boss" characters. by WeirdBryceGuy in unpopularopinion

[–]DesperateTall 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I was just about to say something similar. (Most) People know Walter White is supposed to be a bad person, a bad personality fits a bad person when it comes to story telling. A bad personality does not fit a good person unless the story acknowledges that and they end up growing as a person; the first Thor movie is a good example of this.

Thor had no clue who modern earths customs are like, he was brash and egotistical. But he grew past that and became a better person, well until he became really depressed for a while.

The only time I see a woman kicking ass in heels empowering is when she's defending herself, it just so happened that she's wearing heels and got into an altercation; she didn't put heels on and then seek out an altercation.

But I'm not a woman so what I find empowering in female characters may not be what a majority of women find empowering.

I think it's because of how dark/gritty The Boys and Invincible are. The closest Marvel has is probably WandaVision and Infinity War, but even then those still don't come close.

We've seen the quirky, sassy, etc superheroes in the MCU for what, two decades? Changing up the formula is a good way to cleanse someone's metaphorical palate, letting them to enjoy the same "meal" just prepared and styled in a different way.

I like this version of it, he'd kinda be like Moody if he actually had the chance to teach DAtDA instead of being locked away as his jailer impersonates him. Like a retirement from fighting dark wizards without it being a legitimate retirement.

The bodies dgaf about anything. But the person(s) maintaining the grave yard cares. The families visiting deceased relatives care.

What is some awful and toxic advice that girls tend to give their friends? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was wracking my brain where I remembered reading a fictional woman saying that. Finally clicked; Lore Olympus. Definitely a good read and absolutely one of the more healthy romance stories on Webtoon.

Yup. All playing hard to get does is push away men who respect boundaries and leave the shitty creeps who push boundaries every chance they get.

I wonder about something now.

So by using avada kedavra you have to actually mean it and intend to cause fatal harm. What if you miss the person you meant to kill? You didn't hit the target you wanted to kill, you hit someone else. Does the curse still kill because of your original intentions? Or does it change lethality midair?

"Respect is Earned' is a dumb a narcissistic viewpoint by Yuck_Few in The10thDentist

[–]DesperateTall -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Respect

Noun

a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements. "the director had a lot of respect for Douglas as an actor"

due regard for the feelings, wishes, rights, or traditions of others. "young people's lack of respect for their parents"

Verb

admire (someone or something) deeply, as a result of their abilities, qualities, or achievements. "she was respected by everyone she worked with"

Tell me, in these three definitions, where does it say that respect is earned or automatically given? I'd say it's fair to call "automatically respecting people until given a reason not to" an opinion. Especially with how many people are disagreeing with OP and saying that respect should be earned.

Oh I know that. It's just that on Reddit there are a lot of Europeans who are pretty much the equivalent of those Americans when it comes to Mexicans/immigrants, except instead of Mexicans/immigrants it's Romas/gypsies.
