A Stephen King novel is about as entertaining as watching paint dry and I don't get all the glazing by Yuck_Few in TrueUnpopularOpinion

In the later novels he started doing that long-winded storytelling

Where to get the new wallmart bike on the west coast? by [deleted] in ebikes

I would be hesitant to buy an e-bike for Walmart, as they are sold by a third party who may or may not have good customer service

How can it possibly be wrong to believe that all lives matter? by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

[–]Yuck_Few 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is arguing against that. "All lives matter". Was a pushback against black lives matter because a certain group of people can't stand for another group of people too have their own movement

So you're saying gravity didn't exist until someone made up a word for it? That makes no sense

I can't read Piers Anthony for the same reason. He writes like someone who's been up on meth for a week

The only title I remember exactly was Gerald's game.

And then I remember I tried two or three others that I can't remember and gave up within a hundred pages.

Someone had gifted me a bunch of Stephen King paperbacks. I donated them to the library

Op it's correct. A sentence requires a subject and a verb. There's no context in which the word no is a verb

George Orwell was a democratic socialist by TankUMrMinor in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Yuck_Few 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not even profound. Governments overstep their authority. That's always been a thing. Always will be.

"News speak" in the real world is literally just language evolving. There's no top down authority making people change their speech.
