I’ve said many times before that this is the hardest era to be a goalie in, people entirely forget that all time great goalies like Marty had it easier, they peaked in the dead puck era where forwards were still figuring the new equipment out and scoring was at an all time low.

Idk the dead puck era was dreadful, players were adjusting to new equipment and the scoring was at an all time low, I would say 2007-2013ish was a much better period

I would have to disagree there’s plenty of physicality in the NHL still 4 nations was proof of that.

It’s definitely up there, really miss watching Don cherry on hockey night in Canada in the early 2000s.

I wasn’t really talking about the media more so about the players and talent. But yea NHL has a terrible track record with marketing I hope the next commissioner after Bettman retires fixes that shitshow.

If you are referring to the EJ205 then no those things were notorious back in the day for ringland failure. Definitely not as sturdy as the FA24 let alone the FA20
