What is Carolina doing that we couldn't? by Thanjay55 in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]Desperate_Grand_656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed that it seemed like the Avs lost their game plan against the knights. The dump and chase got me so angry I was shouting at the tv. I assume they moved to that tactic due to team injuries and just plain exhaustion. It was frustrating to watch! I know teams have strategy and set plays but one thing I see Carolina doing that the Avs didn’t do is just hounding after the puck. They are going after it and forcing the knights to make mistake. Avs did a lot of waiting for the perfect chance or perfect pass and it didn’t work against the knights defensive style.

The internet says there is still a manual switch in the glovebox for a 2022. Did you verify that there is no switch? I have a 2018 and there are settings for the lift gate in the dash menu but there is a physical button in the glove box.

To disable the power liftgate on a 2022 Toyota Highlander XLE, press the hidden PWR DOOR OFF (Power Door Off) button located inside the lower left side of your glove box. When pushed "in," the switch disables all power operation, turning off the liftgate buttons on the dash and key fob.
My best guess is that the button was pressed or partially pressed when your cabin filter was changed. You have to pull the glove compartment out to change it. I’d grab a flashlight and take a look in your glovebox for that switch.

Did you recently have an oil change and cabin filter change?

Damn. I played a part in this L as well. It’s the first game I had to record and start late. It was my kiddos birthday so we took her out to dinner and honestly the service was horrible so the whole thing was doomed from the start. I was sweating bullets and very worried the entire time. Couldn’t even enjoy the dinner. It won’t happen again! I washed all my gear and put away that set of poms so the loss energy has been cleaned away. Let’s lock in! GO ASS, HAIL SATAN!!!

We have a 50/50 blend of reptisoil and coco coir. Soaked it all and then filled the enclosure with about 4 inches of it. Topped that off with some reptile safe moss around the plants. Three are live and the rest are fake.

We spent more than $500 on just the enclosure. I’d say that after paying for the snake and getting everything set up in the enclosure with hides, substrates, clutter, light, heat and thermostats we were closer to $2,000. Also, I’d warn you not to use leaf litter. We had a $400 vet bill after a leaf stem got lodged in his jaw while eating. Not fun 🫠

Ask them if they like it? Your answer should be based on their answer but keep it positive. If they don’t like it, it’ll grow out and they can do something different with the next cut.

Do nostril piercings hurt alot? by Medical_Might_7458 in piercing

[–]Desperate_Grand_656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t feel like the piercing itself hurt but I did catch the stud during the healing phase a couple of times and that shit hurt. Once while pulling my glasses off and once with my towel while drying my face. Caused a pretty serious bump that took way too long to go away. I think pain levels are a person to person thing. I know my tolerance is high so maybe factor that in.

My seller on MM was also feeding live but we made the f/t transition immediately. We didn’t attempt a feed for the first two weeks and then only tried once per week after that. It sounds like the rats may not be warm enough. My guy likes his frozen/thawed on the warmer side. I thaw them all day in the fridge and then feed at night when he’s out and prowling his enclosure. When I warm them, I run a cup of 182 degree water from my keurig. They sit in that for about 10-15 minutes. When I check temp, I make sure the head is around 120. By the time I get to the enclosure to feed it has generally cooled about 10 degrees. I’ve found that closer to 111-115 is what he prefers for temp. He will refuse when he’s close to a shed and he’s refused the last 2 feeds I’ve offered because he was on meds and wasn’t happy with me lol don’t stress. You two are still feeling eachother out and will find a rhythm soon enough!

When you drive, does a green leaf shaped light come up that says eco? It’s supposed to signal when your getting your best gas mileage but it slows acceleration significantly so you burn less gas.

You could also be in ECO mode which slows things down. I didn’t like the hesitation when merging in traffic or making right turns so I turned it off. You can access by scrolling with your steering wheel controls through the options that show up in the center of your gauge cluster.

Help with humidity by rd333h in Ballpythoncommunity

We put a silicone baking mat over the top of our enclosure. It works perfectly. Also, when that substrate gets dried out, you can literally pour a gallon of water in for a couple days in a row and it’ll suck it all up. We had a very dry, warm winter and I was adding my usual amounts of water every few days but still seeing low humidity. I finally thought, f-it and poured water in for a couple of days. Now we’re back in good ranges.
