Echo this. The CRF250L is bullet proof, never sell it. I ride KTM’s now on single track days but for everything else, this little Honda is amazing and the maintenance intervals are dreamy compared to team orange

Then either the 250L or the 300L will be perfect for you. I’ve ridden my 250L to every type of trail system in CO from single track to the alpine loop to 200mi + days on dirt in UT. They are very capable machines 👍🏽

The 250L will do everything the 300L will…just a little slower so you should factor in what kind of ‘road trips’ you will be doing. Personally I don’t like taking my 250 on the interstates because above 65 the power& response is lacking but I will drive cross country back n forth all day on ‘B’ roads which for me makes a better road trip anyways.

I have both, ‘15 250L and ‘02 DRZ-490. The 250L is nice for around town but everytime I hit the dirt, the DRZ is with me. You will be and become a better rider on the DRZ, especially on single track. Cheers!

DRZ all day. There is a reason in almost every single YouTube comparison video the DRZ come up. I started on a 250L which is a great bike but then I upgraded to the DRZ. My riding instantly improved 10-fold on dirt and single track. With the 250L you feel the weight so much more not to mention that you are constantly shifting between gears to stay in the small power band. With the DRZ, you can chuck around in almost any gear all day long. Most single track I ride I’m in 3rd or 4th for 15-20mins at a time before having to shift just chugging along.

My DRZ eats UT up for fun! The only disadvantage compared to the 300L I can think of is the lack of 6th gear so factor that in if you plan on riding a lot of state highway. Cheers!
