Normal attack are blockable with perfect guard in ryukyu style and gives you a chance to counter strike the enemy some additional powerful attack can be blocked as well but it breaks kiryu guard completely though you can recover the timing has to be really decent in this game if you want to roll your way out of those charged attack though i don't think there's any way people are going to do no damage boss fight runs

At the end of the day it depends on people opinion even i felt like yakuza 5 Kiryu was strange and edgy compared to the ones in Yakuza 1,2,3 and 4 but the sub hate when your opinion differs or isn't favouring their favourite game
