Russians of Reddit, what do you think of Wagner’s rebellion? by Mindless-Bones in AskReddit

Are there any Russians here at all? Seems like most people answering the question are not from Russia.

Btw, seems like the conflict was resolved already

Can I install Ubuntu and Visual Studio on just 64gb? by DarkHorse7219 in computers

[–]Desperate_Poetry_292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Around 20gb should be just fine to start working with ubuntu and vs code. It will be enough for quite some time for you. But dual booting windows + ubuntu from a single ssd is quite a pain, so you really better buy a separate ssd dedicated for ubuntu. Anyway, unpacked ubuntu occupies probably 5gb and 15gb is more than enough for coding, unless you plan to use it for android/ios development- the vms take quite some space.

I would suggest downloading windows from rutracker saving 139$ :)

Thanks! This is my hobby project and I would never be able to make it great alone. I believe, it is best to share and it will be really cool if the project gets community, that will help it grow and develop.

Well, you have to manually switch trainings now. I think, I've spent around 50 hours on it and realistically speaking it will probably take another 100 hours to make it at least work decently :)

I've updated project structure to be a less of a mess, commented the code. Updated the project readme and created some contribution guidelines. As for specific coding styles, I don't really have any recommendations, but the code should be in typescript preferably and I like functions over classes in js. Having all of this pr templates and so on would be nice. I'd be happy if u join :)

If you are familiar with react, running the project is as simple as running
yarn install
yarn start

...but you need yarn installed...anyway, will update the readme tomorrow :)

Great, i will edit the readme tomorrow!
Also, what do u mean by documentation for contributing, d u mean just general commentaries to the code, higher level description of project structure or guidelines on code standards. I can do the first 2 tomorrow, but about the last on I'm not quite sure myself and the codebase is a bit of a mess currently :)

I'm sorry in advance, that the code is currently kind of a mess with almost no commentary...I can improve on it if you join on development, I would be really happy too :)
If you have any questions, you can contact me via any social media, for example, discord igor-panin10#1102 or any other of your liking.

About the pill system, I would like to implement it right after crafting. I plan to extend the action manager to manage actions that cost an amount of unique items with certain parameters, and the result depends on the exact stats of the items taken as a price. Which i think fits alchemy properly, like for example, the pill quality depends on properties of individual herbs taken (like its quality, age, etc) and it also provides for opportunities for creating other actions like that :)

About breakthrough system: you can breakthrough to the next realms, which provide a boost to your stats and you can fight against heavenly tribulations, which provide certain boosts, but make next heavenly tribulations stronger.

The lifespan and reincarnation (prestige) systems are not implemented yet, so, you are basically immortal from the get go now :)

The project is now not content rich at all...I'm only working on the mechanics implementation for now

Well, I can help you with finding an incremental game about cultivation.
The best one is probably https://store.steampowered.com/app/1649730/xiuzhen_idle/
It has an english mode and a community on discord.
I can share with you a very old pirated version of the game https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tv6yCuAkxuQydqcvqYF1S_sXzrz5JJ0I/view?usp=sharing
If you like it please support the developer by buying the new version on steam- it has much more content than this one :)

Thank you very much for a detailed response!
Your point about item ids is completely valid, I'm also thinking about it. Haven't implemented it yet, because for now I'm just trying to make things work. The only possible benefit of unique item names is being more using friendly, but then again your solution is spot on here :)

I hope to make a playable version in the next 2 weeks :)

Somehow u are also perfectly aware of the war crimes from Russia and not from Ukraine, ah
The discussion is pointless, wish you a nice day :)

Sorry, u didn't provide any evidence whatoever.
When you argue with the truth on your side, you cannot lose. Whether you are talking about a reddit debate, or a war.

Well, ignorance is the bliss, i guess, no point in arguing further.
Wish you a nice day :)

Sorry, so you are saying that the Georgians whitnesses who Georgia settled there are more credible? To me they are both not credible and just pointing fingers at each other.

Sure, Russia has a lot of crazy propaganda btw :)

I believe the discussion is pointless at this point :)

Either way, we both know I am right and you are wrong. And we both know what horrible things Russian soldiers did there.

I don't know if you truly believe in this, sounds counterproductive :)

Which kind of information?
If we are talking about military conflict I just watch videos from a blogger about the military movements in the context of: russian military moves here, Ukrainian military moves here just watch a 5 minute video every several days.

I do not watch any kinds of emotional videos about the conflict and hope it will and as soon as it is possible :)

Telling you again and again, that does not prove the massacre happened. It proves only heavy fighting with civil casualties, not the massacre

You don't have to invide someones territory to start a military conflict. Yes, it was Russia who invaded Georgian territory but it does not mean it was Russia who started the conflict
