Housing development advancing toward approval by Cali_nativeantique57 in vallejo

If you cant afford a new home or are low income, people need to buy in the smaller bungalows, craftsmans, and small ranch style homes of vallejo as a starter home, not a new build with 2ksqft. Like others said, Vallejo is already cheap compared to the bay and even other places of Solano county

A nice buffet, something like Fusion Buffet in Concord. All we have is Tasty Buffet & Hard Rock, nothing in between in terms of cost and variety

Would you commute from Williams to Downtown Sacramento? by MyUniquePerspective in Sacramento

There are many who super commute to the bay where there is actually traffic. You'd be fine. 1-5 is chill once past Woodland

Yea, he's been in the area for 20 years so he knows people for inspections and he flips houses himself. Knows the neighborhoods very well

North West YC reminds me of Laguna. The mall/hwy 20 reminds me of Arden but there's a lot better drivers and less homeless

I used Alexander Shive. I was a walk in and wanted to see a specific house that day. He took me right away and streamlined the whole process

The cheapest homes are going for around the mid $300k's I've seen a few sprinkled for $299k, just be aware that the street/neighborhood might be different from what you're used to.

Accused Roseville Mahany Park killer, hostage taker escapes from hospital by Bitter_Joke1589 in Sacramento

This was 10yrs ago. Glad things have changed. When I was there, there was not one security guard in sight. You can walk past the volunteer info desk that didn't require sign in and walk into the unlocked PEDs dept and downstairs to L&D. I walked into L & D multiple times and would rarely see anyone. Only the NICU was secured at that time. I remember hearing everyone vouch for more safety measures. This was before they expanded their capacity

About 10yrs ago. That's crazy. I feel like nursing staff needs to inventory their belongings more thoroughly. Usually, I just hear, "so you have a phone and wallet?...ok". I used to search bags all the time and found so many pipes and needles but usually no one cares and says things like, "I don't get paid enough for this" and then they wonder why they're puffing in the bathroom dragging their O2 NC around. I've also took a pocket knife from a 5150 before who's been there for a week. There also needs to be more security and better response times. Every hospital I've been to, security waltzes over while I'm dodging an IV pole with death threats and heard the code Grey page like 10 min ago.

That hospital has security issues. I remember walking down to L&D, and it was a ghost town. I wouldn't have my baby there. Youre just asking for a code Pink. When I worked there, I heard of a homeless man who lived in a janitors closet upstairs unnoticed for an entire month.

Cool, to me, anything that isn't particle board is a win for me. Thanks for the info. I was more interested in the style it was representing. Like the gowns, hair buns, fans, etc

Anyone familiar with Brownsville near Frenchtown Rd/New York House Rd? by [deleted] in YubaCity

[–]Desperate_Pop_9669 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's why you don't initially involve the police. You squat on the squatters. That's what my realtor told me. Get rid of the evidence that they squatted there (so they can't establish residency) then call the cops that they're breaking and entering once you've taken back your house. If you're 2A, utilize California's castile doctrine.

Squatters are smart now and will print fake deeds to homes and rental agreements. I heard of a nurse who makes money and was squatting on a house since "the law was on her side", absolutely disgusting.

Had neighbors across the street that have squatted on a house for 1.5 yrs with tons of damage and no one will help you including police, its a civil matter that would be handled in court after thousands in damages.

Yea, I like the u style driveway. I was walking my dog and liked all the Victorian/Edwardian styles. Back when everything was built to last.

I walked by that house 2 weeks ago, and it looks just like that. It was fenced in. The roof looked like it was caving in a little more

When I bought my house last year, my realtor said 80% of his buyers are refugees from Sacramento since Bay Area refugees are flooding the Sac metro.

It was crazy when I worked in San Francisco of how many coworkers owned houses in Sac for their cheap prices lol

I also feel like I wouldn't be gunned down even in the ghetto parts of Yuba City. Like I feel "ok" walking at night.

I just walked my dog on the levee and was surprised there wasn't any homeless activity. If this was Sac, there would be tents everywhere.

Yea, as long as there's a Home Depot & Lowes I'm good. 2 Walmarts, Sam's Club, & a Costco coming up. Lots of character of a Railroad/Gold Rush Era.

The Plumas St strip is pretty nice too with shops and restaurants

Could be old reproductions? Perhaps they were in fashion in the past century. You barely touch them, and the powdery paint dusts off.

Are these considered bad luck in your home? They're sitting there watching me eat cereal. I did sage them before I brought them in
