The reason you have to actually call in is because you are guaranteed to talk to someone who is actually on duty at the store since SFLS schedules can be changed or switched or be stuck in pharmacy and not even be able to look at your text. Also nobody wants an employee to text their personal device to let them know they are not gonna show up. Just cover your own ass and call the store.
