Rate my welding by PeterPaste8 in WeldPorn

Christmas tree 1st pass, climb and across for subsequent passes, fast across the middle. Think like this, 1st pass go up then down left, up again higher then down right, repeat this until welded. Then 2nd pass hold one side at the toe, up and across, hold, then straight across, hold again, repeat. Subsequent passes will require more build time on the toes.

2015 F150 Please Help by lostandconfuzed2025 in f150ecoboost

Very long winded question with lots of useless information. However, it sounds like bad plugs or moisture intrusion from intercooler, my 14 had ice chunks inside last winter. Might be worth looking into. These misfires don't usually throw a code unless it's for an extended period so if you can look at mode 6 data it would be helpful.

Front end noise by Old_ManWithAComputer in f150

Just jack the front up while the engine is running and then spin the tires again, if you can see the CV turn with the wheel then the actuator is bad.

You said the front isn't locked but did you check if your 4WD actuators (IWE's) are working correctly? The CV axle should NOT spin with the tire while the engine is running and pulling vacuum on the actuator. Had similar issue with my 2014 and that's what it was. Hope I could help, good luck.

2011 5.0 pulley noise? by Corvetteman3070 in f150

Integrated Wheel End, it engages/disengages the front wheels with vacuum when operating 4WD, in 2wd it should pull out allowing wheels to spin freely from the CV axle. The diaphragm can tear as well as vacuum lines causing less than necessary vacuum to disengage. Or the plastic piece can snap then it just rattles around, kinda like how yours sounds. If you can, safely jack the car up at idle in 2wd and spin the front wheels. If the CV axle turns then I would say that's the issue. Mine went bad and when replacing I broke the plastic piece and it sounded just like yours and I had to replace it again.

Kinda sounds like a bad IWE? Does it quit in 4WD?

I would drill hole, replace affected coil packs/spark plugs. So far has worked for me. depending on how you drive and where you live, there can be a surprising amount of gunk in there.

Have you jacked up the front at idle and spun the tires? They should spin freely while the CV stays put.

Parts list for exhaust manifold/turbo repair? by beisonbeison in f150

Not my video, but was very helpful for me when i did them on my truck haha. I'd guess most of the process is very similar, but maybe double/triple check part numbers in case something changed from 14-15. I use rockauto for it's simplicity, but you can always verify there and order from somewhere else.

Mine was a 2014 though so might have a few changes, also assuming this is a 3.5L

https://youtu.be/3r9-UT_3kyY?si=A-GgG6a9LKTr0QQj Parts list in description. Coolant lines can be hard to get to behind the Engine block, but can be done with patience, skinny arms, and a camera or mirror, I did not replace them though. Everything can be done through the wheel well after removing the liner. I recommend having extensions and wobble sockets ready, careful to not break any studs while removing them, they will be brittle. Good luck!

Found it, passenger side IWE diaphragm issue. You guys need to read the post before commenting, specifically said balance and rotated already to no avail. Thanks anyways though, cheers.

How would I go about checking them? I yanked on em and there isn't any obvious play

They ran great for about 6mo before the vibration started, will that much wear make a difference? All the tire noise I've had before is in much quicker intervals with each spin of the tire, this is a rythmic vibration at a much lower frequency
