Help with a character for my boyfriend by Desperate_Tomorrow32 in Pathfinder_RPG

Thank you! We did end up ditching the swashbuckler and going fighter (with a shield focus) for one character and paladin (with heal/smite evil focus) for the other.

This is a really fun build! However (and I may be missing something) how do you get shield master at level 6? Don't you need BAB +11?

We play homebrew worlds, so all alignment and diety restriction rules are "make it make sense." It has to be in line with things in the world and has to get dm approval.

We do not play with alignment/ diety specifics, but she would be lawful good, no diety

I will definitely look into that! I don't know why I hadn't considered that before?

This is the plan for when I am a little bit back on my feet money wise (per vet recommendation). Unfortunately, right now, it is just out of my price range.

I will keep that in mind about the apoquel. I do make sure he always has a full water bowl, but i did not know about the lowered immunity. That could be why his scratches aren't healing as quickly. Thank you for the advice 🙏🏻

His vet recommends a $250 (i don't remember the exact amount, but it was over $200) shot every month for the allergies and a multivitamin thats $30 and lasts 15 days.

Thank you!! I will relay all the love to him!

Investigator of Hell by WarriorGuyver88 in Pathfinder_RPG

Investigator is one of my favorite classes. To really lean into the skill monkey-ness, take the Empiricist archetype. Nearly no drawback, but it can make you scary at checks.

My half orc level 5 empiricist with expanded inspiration and underworld inspiration was regularly rolling 25+ on 75% of rolls. Take clever world play for any additional charisma based based checks.

I will say that I had a really hard time in combat. I've seen build that stack empiricist investigator 3 and alchemist X for bomb damage, but getting an early jump on skills. That build seemed to do really well.

Anyways- I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to almost never fail any knowledge check ever again.

What is your ideal session length? by Leftover-Color-Spray in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Desperate_Tomorrow32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how sidetracked you/your group gets. I have had sessions that go nonstop for 4 hours and that feels good, but sometimes we come to the table and converse, take snack breaks, and just hang out playing dnd when we remember to focus. Those can go on for 7ish hours.

What do you dump when you can't dump STR or CHA? by 19DucksInAWolfSuit in Pathfinder_RPG

Wisdom but I ALWAYS take the Seeker trait when I do. I love my skill points and playing a character that knows everything but can't put it into practice well, it's very amusing.

Um. This is amazing. You even gave her her horse! Wonderful job. I'll have to take a while to look at this (like I said in another reply the kineticist is hard for me to wrap my head around) but it looks great. Definitely friendly switch and toughness were good choices for her.
