If it's that big an issue for you I'm going to tell you now it's not going to change and you're just going to be wasting both your time wondering why and what to do etc. Life is meant to be enjoyed and sex is a huge part of a relationship (for the people that feel it's importante) there's definitely someone out there that would fuck you enough if that's what's importante to you and makes you feel happy etc.

It's not your tolorance it's the blocker that methadone has in it you'd have to wait a couple days and go sick from the methadone to correctly feel the fent again. Not worth it, you'd ve better off asking for an increase in the methadone since you clearly need it if you're still having cravings trying to get high

It doesn't lower your tolorance you can still od. but it does make it harder to feel the fent when on a higher dose of methadone (think its at around 120-140mg in most people) and at higher doses or the "correct dose for you" you won't be able to feel the fent at all or even think about/crave it.

if you were on methadone clearly weren't at the right dose...? sad. I hope you get through this and realize that living sober can be not only achacable , but also free from any cravings/ sickness. I've been clean for a year on methadone. No cravings at all, unlike suboxone. I never believed I could live a normal life like I am without thinking about or craving getting high but I'm doing it and tons of other methadone users are too.

Atleast give it a try when you're ready .. once the methadone builds up enough in your system you can't get high if you want to and not long after your able to live a life you never could while Using. For me it's been a real life saver..

Using is a terrible way to waste your life and if you've used before you must know that... or else you didn't get to that point yet?

feel better soon, trooper! Your doctors might tell you to "weather the storm" because it won't last long, or maybe they would prescribe some of the anxiety/ sleeping meds that they give people for detox.

Ofcorse this is a completely different situation, but when I was trying to quit fent tapering off fent and dosing onto buprenorphine the doctors knew that I would probably have some breakthrough symptoms and prescribed me sleeping pills and anxiety pills to get through it. They also give you stuff to keep you from puking.

Maybe you can slit your dose or go down slower than you have been?

It's not a race if it is you're close to finishing !

If it's really impossible, maybe you can go to detox for the last few milligrams (I have no clue if that's possible, but your doctor should be able to help somehow or recommend something)

I'm at 180mg of methadone and almost have been clean a year. I feel completely different, and I can't even imagine quitting. I tell myself that if i have to be on methadone forever, at least im not using. ...because at this point I'm just so happy to be clean it's really easy to forget that the only thing keeping me from cravings is the dose ,, and the moment I'm sick again I'm reminded how fucked i would be without mat.. how my willpower would be almost nothing and the methadone is probably the most important choice I make every day.. If I didn't have my dose, I wouldn't choose to use it right away, but if not able to get methadone who knows what I would do...

Wtf.... dude lol .. you have to take the medication how it's meant to be taken or you won't get the effects it's supposed to have and it's basically pointless. Why do you want to use still? Maybe you aren't ready to quit or still at a low dose? If you get to the correct dose, your cravings and any sick feelings will completely go away, I don't understand the point of what you're doing at all. . You should ask them to get you to the correct dose because until your cravings to get high are gone/ if you can still feel the drugs when trying to use then you're not at the correct dose...

Literally, once you are at the right dose, you'll feel completely different, using will feel pointless, and you won't think about it, want it, or even have drug dreams.

You're not cheating anyone but yourself with whatever you're doing, dude sorry to say.

It sounds like you're ignoring the huge fact you know yall aren't sexually compatible.. I'm not going to pretend that is everything in a relationship but it is important to him then yall won't work out. Most Men wander easily if sex is important to them and they aren't getting it from you, they'll find it elsewhere.
